What do people after their eighth, ninth, or tenth election is stolen in front of their faces? And in this recent election, in the most brazenly, nakedly, fraudulent way possible?
Probably the same thing California's voters do, after getting the same result over and over again in the solid blue state.
Axios found a poll indicating what people in Venezuela would do:
- More than 40% of Venezuelans polled in the past few months said they'd consider emigrating if Maduro stayed in power.
- Nevertheless, advocates say hope is pushing people to keep fighting.
What they're saying: "Obviously, if [President Nicolás] Maduro stays in power, there's going to be a new exodus. That's a fact," Adelys Ferro, Venezuelan American Caucus executive director, told Axios Miami.
The New York Times on July 18 found a second poll showing that a third of Venezuelans would flee the country if Maduro stays in power.
One private poll by the company ORC Consultants, conducted in June, suggests that as many as one-third of Venezuelans are considering the possibility of migrating if the current government remains in power. Half of those said they would leave in the six-month period after the July 28 vote.
... and ...
For thousands of Venezuelans, the decision to remain or flee their homeland depends on a single date: July 28. On that day, the country will vote in a high-stakes presidential election.
If the country’s authoritarian leader, Nicolás Maduro, declares victory, they say they will go. If the opposition candidate wins, they will stay.
“Everyone says the same thing,” said Leonela Colmenares, 28, the opposition activist. “If Maduro wins, they are leaving.”

Ah. Nuts. Lemme guess. They’ll be heading to America.
Ah, so we can expect 15 million ‘newcomers’?
In this case, the ones leaving are then non-Socialist. We may want them.
If they can get out of the country.
As Ed Abbey once said, “ Stop every campesino at our southern border, give him a handgun, a good rifle, and a case of ammunition, and send him home. He will know what to do with our gifts and good wishes. The people know who their enemies are”
The massive spike in the heart of America. Venezuelans are all criminals who love to party on other people’s dime.
Uh, no, we don’t want them. Just because they are leaving a certain oppression doesn’t equate to people with the intelligence to understand or appreciate the conservative brand of freedom.
My Uber driver from Columbia said that they were flooded with that assailants a few years ago.
perfect time to trade our socialists for their freedom lovers. even willing to trade JUST ONE freedom loving Venezuelan for Harris AND Bernie Sanders and even throw in Liz warren as a consolation.
No. We. Want. No. Foreigners. Our infrastructure and housing is stretched to the breaking point. We need to deport about 50 million of them already.
Let’s work out a swap. We can take 15 million Venezuelans who are fleeing communism and send Maduro 15 million woke college students who proclaim their love of socialism. Win-win. Maduro should jump at the chance to get rid of the dissidents and replace them with his natural allies.
+1
In this case, the ones leaving are then non-Socialist. We may want them.
Maybe Maduro will allow some swaps of our losers for some good people wanting to leave Maduro and his thugs.
Sure they will
My DIL is from Venezuela. Father is a surgeon. Two brothers are doctors. She has a PhD, and teaches at a University. All left about 15 years ago.
Still votes democRat. She just doesn't get it.
After this last election, I told her you can vote Socialism in, but you have to shoot your way out. She blames Chavez and Maduro, not Socialism.
Sounds like a good plan if we monitor the incoming people.
If they are not going to be denied entry here, Trump should get in on the game.
As well they should.
They need to go to Brazil and straighten that place out.
Make no kind of sense for that many to leave...
