WASHINGTON, July 26 (Reuters) - Former President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle endorsed U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential bid on Friday, the latest move by top Democrats to unite around a new champion against Republican Donald Trump in the Nov. 5 election. The Obamas' endorsement came five days after President Joe Biden, 81, dropped his reelection bid in the face of mounting opposition within his own party, and as a fresh wave of opinion polls show Harris starting to erode Trump's lead. "We called to say Michelle and I couldn't be prouder to endorse you and to do everything we can to get you through this election and into the Oval Office," Obama told Harris in a phone call posted in an online video by the campaign. "I am proud of you. This is going to be historic," the former first lady told Harris.

Which is to say, there are no other choices.
Same puppeteer, different puppet...
They literally phoned it in. It was a pretty cool coincidence that someone just happened to have video equipment going when they called.
What would be the reason the royal couple didn’t immediately gush over the Kamala ascension?
Impressive. President Trump called out Barry yesterday and now the endorsement arrives.
Seems like they’re stuck with her for now.
However, they can still squirm out of this later when she exposes her stupidity and the left flips out and wants someone else.
Then again, next week the remote delegate voting for the nomination is supposed to begin, so this is getting quite interesting.
Isn’t an endorsement, by Barky, pretty much a ๐ of ๐ ?
This phone call stuff is so silly. It makes them look ridiculous; but they don’t seem to see that.
An Obama endorsement will only push Harris further behind Trump.
The call was cringe. Totally staged.
Trump needs to replace Vance with a woman. If he wants to win, he might have to pick Gabbard or Haley. Haley was great at the convention, she humbled herself for the good of the party and she would pull in more votes from HER base. Itโs just a fact, if Trump is to win. I know everyone hates Haley, but she has a voting base. Face it. Sheโs the best qualified. And if it happens and anyone refuses to vote for Trump because he switches to Haley as VP, weโll lose the election.
Took their time. Guessing moochie wasn’t on the short list.
Obama didnt want to endorse her, but Trump made him do it with that brilliant press release last night..by bringing up Obama, Obama was forced to endorse her ending Michelle Obama’s run for office..that is why Trump mentioned him..so he put Obama in a corner forcing him to do it
Haley is a RINO, globalist cabal and a no go for me and conservatives. Trump would be killing his chances with either one.
And how does Trump get rid of Vance..does Vance have a lil accident..I mean the whole thing is ridiculous he cant just get rid of his VP candidate and demand a do-over..and the same ones who want Haley now are the same ones who said before Trump picked Vance that if he picks Haley they wont vote for him
His pick needs to understand they may try and take him out again if he wins (if not before), so we need a viable alternative, not a loser.
Best bet is not a great endorsement.

Optics and holding back to gauge reaction. They wanted to see if the week long MSM non stop Harris campaign ad bore fruit. It looks very much like it has. I think Obongo was one of the main players to force Biden out and Harris in. I know l was a lot more confident a week ago.
Nonsense.
President Trump has made his choice, and it’s done.
I wholly disagree with everything you just posted.
Changing out the pick now would doom his candidacy. You don’t play that stupid game of “tit for tat” just because they have a woman or two on their ticket. That’s a recipe for disaster. Never over pander in such a fashion. It makes you look bad, every time.
I already pointed out previously, I myself will not vote for President Trump if he was to choose either of your two desired picks. I do not want either one step from the Presidency for obvious reasons, the primary one being they are both not conservative people who will have my back when it comes to my Constitutional Rights, nor does either of those two women have the best interests of this country at heart regardless of whatever spiel they’re spewing currently.
I’ve seen their records and they’ve both shown exactly who they are and what their “beliefs” tend to be.
Yes, another easily manipulated dingbat. He gets his 4th term.
