Former President Donald Trump holds a three-point lead over Vice President Kamala Harris among registered voters, CNN polling found Wednesday after President Joe Biden stepped aside.
The poll is one of the first published surveys after Biden endorsed Harris for president.
Trump: 49 percent Harris: 46 percent The poll sampled 1,631 voters from July 22-33 with a 3-point margin of error.
CNN’s poll conducted in June found Trump led Harris by six points, underscoring the “honeymoon” period Harris enjoys as the de facto nominee of the struggling Democrat party.
The poll found Trump’s support has not changed much since Harris entered the race: The poll also suggests that Trump’s support among his strongest groups is holding steady even as his opponent changes: 67% of White voters without degrees support him over Harris, near-identical to his support against Biden (66%). He continues to hold the support of a majority of men (53% versus Harris, it was 54% against Biden). And he maintains the support of about 9 in 10 Republicans and Republican-leaning independents (90% vs. Harris, 89% against Biden).

BTW, this is an AJC poll which historically is left of actual voting in GA by about 3 points. So if AJC shows Biden 2.0 down 4.6 it more like 7.6 in actuality

I doubt a full on 1974 massacre would happen either way, but a dejected Democrat base and if the electorate decides the years of lying about Biden and the wreck of the economy are worthy of punishment it could definitely be a bad bad bad night for democrats.
Biden was losing the base, and put anyone running at risk.. if they came out and tried to defend him as capable and competent after the debate they would get slaughtered so Biden had to go.

These are BAD numbers for Harris. This is here week. The GOP haven’t even started on her yet.
Polls are fake so they can chest and look like they had to chest so badly.
It depends on which poll you ascribe to. And it will depend on turnout, particularly in the swing states.
