Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports, said Democrats pushing Joe Biden out of running for reelection means they want to “hijack” democracy.
As Breitbart News reported Sunday, Joe Biden issued a history-making decision unseen since Democrat Lyndon Baines Johnson refused to seek reelection in 1968.
“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President,” Biden’s statement read. “And while it has been my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”

I gotta say, I don’t really fault the Rats on this one: Joe B and his handlers are the ones who created this situation by going through the motions during the entire primary season. For all those complaining about the Dems destroying Democracy (and admittedly, I threw in a jab at that initially myself), what are they really supposed to do at this point? Beg 50 states to re-run primaries for an open field??
No, this isn’t on the Democrat party: it’s on the White House for deluding themselves and even trying to gaslight their own party... which is why the statement released Sunday suggesting that dropping out was for the benefit of the party is so comical.
Democracy, as practiced by the Democrat (Socialist) party, has little to do with any kind of democratic process.
Now, ever since the Republic was founded, some form of a democratic process has been used to choose the candidates for office, and the person who ultimately gained the position. But it was never a simple majority vote, with no compromise possible between the victor, and the minority that voted against the victor. The minority has the right, the duty, to object to excesses in whatever action is taken by the majority, and demand redress for these excesses.
For this, it is obligatory that the press has free authority to question any act by the legislative branch, the executive branch, and even the judiciary branch. This authority is continuously under attack by all branches of the government, and sometimes by elements within the press itself.
“Nobody is above the law”, many are fond of chanting, Nobody is above criticism, either, but both the law and the criticism have to relate in some way to real circumstances, and be applied accordingly.
So how is the Coup Lite going?

We all saw how Macron dealt with the elector issue, he bought over 200 electors who were committed to Le Pen, then told her that they would throw her in jail if she complained. We all saw how that turned out. Buying electors only works in the election, not the primary.
