The New York Times (NYT) editorial board wants Vice President Kamala Harris off the 2024 ticket because of “profound concerns” about her electability.
The push to dump the nation’s first black vice president was posted just after President Joe Biden announced he would not run in the 2024 election — and it could threaten Democratic turnout in November.
The board first provided some throat-clearing praise for Biden:
By agreeing to step down when his term ends in January, he is greatly increasing the chance that his party is able to protect the nation from the dangers of returning Donald Trump to the presidency.
Then it dropped the hammer:
Choosing Ms. Harris would be a reasonable path for Democrats to take; she has been Mr. Biden’s running mate, and while no votes were cast for her as a presidential candidate in primaries, the president’s voters expected her to be on the ticket in November.

When LBJ announced he would not run, was there a huge demand that he resign immediately? He was not demented, but there was an antiwar movement that blamed him for a bigger Vietnam war.
I don’t see any way around Harris, she will have about 200 million in Biden/Harris campaign funds which no other democrat can even dream of raising. Dumping ‘the first black woman president” would be party suicide. Black women call more shots at the rat party than the Slimes can, and they are predictably in the tank for Harris, even though she isn’t african american at all.

You are completely out of touch. bw see this as a good thing. there are even movements called devestators and swwirlers that encourage bw to date and marry outside their race. This is celebrated in bw circles, not looked at as being a traitor.

The GOP needs to immediately begin a campaign to tar the Dems as being the “threat to Democracy” party. They tossed their primary voters in the trash and staged a coup against Biden solely because of polls. Now they want to ditch the first black/female VP because of polls.
They are dead-set against allowing the democratic electoral process to simply go forward normally. They are willing to ditch voters and have the elites appoint a nominee and (they hope) to appoint the president.
We would be crazy not to be hitting them over and over as “anti-democratic” to take all the teeth out of their BS attacks against Trump and to highlight their supreme hypocrisy.
