Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance is leading a wave of calls for President Biden to leave the Oval Office immediately.
The Ohio senator claimed that if the president isn’t fit to campaign, he shouldn’t be trusted to remain in the White House, in a message sent Sunday hours before Biden said he was suspending his election campaign.
“Not running for reelection would be a clear admission that President Trump was right all along about Biden not being mentally fit enough to serve as Commander-in-Chief,” Vance wrote on X.

As even a temporary incumbent, no matter how bad she would do as interim President, her supporters will crow about what a great job she's done under trying circumstances and how we shouldn't change horses in mid-stream, blah, blah, blah. The media would inevitably rally around her as America's savior and national heroine.

There won’t be any 25th amendment. Biden will stay POTUS until next January but we won’t see much of him. The dems did what they want even when repubs had the presidency and both houses, barely because there are always just enough RINOs for them to be able to.
Repubs need the presidency, won by a huge margin to overcome the steal. Then they need a good sized majority on both houses to overcome RINOs.
Trump winning 2024 with a 2-4 repub margin in the houses won’t mean much. It will be four years of rule by EO, but hopefully, rule by EO well enough to reverse obama’s fundamental transformation done mostly via rule by EO.
On the flip side, if she ascends to the Presidency it becomes a lot harder for them to replace her at the convention with somebody semi-sentient. Acting Presidential for a few months might keep the AWFLs on board but it isn't going to fool the older Democrats who saw Biden as one of them.
