Battleground State Democrats Still Back Biden Despite Age Concerns: Poll
Newsweek via MSN ^ | 07/21/24 | Joe Edwards

The vast majority of Democratic voters still intend to vote for President Joe Biden despite concerns over his age, according to a recent poll of battleground states.

Amid mounting concerns about Biden's age and growing pressure from prominent members of the Democratic Party to get the president to not seek re-election, a breakdown of YouGov polling data provided to Newsweek revealed that in seven key states, between 69 percent and 86 percent of Democratic voters who felt Biden was too old to serve another term as president, said they would still vote for him.

YouGov provided Newsweek with the cross tabulation data on respondents' presidential voting intent by party identification, filtered via those who said "yes" in response to the question: Is Biden too old to be President? The small unweighted sample size for that cross tab in each state was as follows:

Arizona: 142 respondents who identified as Democrats out of a sample of 594, which included Republicans and Independents.

Georgia: 176 out of 639

Michigan: 205 out of 643

Nevada: 143 out of 481

North Carolina: 186 out of 648

Pennsylvania: 222 out of 641

Wisconsin: 163 out of 568

Overall, nearly 74 percent of Democrats across the seven states said they would vote for Biden despite saying he was too old to be president.

Biden can campaign without funding. He his in the basement 2020. He has Air Force One. The mic and the Oval Office. With Hillary and Bill in her camp he can stick it out in 3 day at a time increments. Donna Brazille will ensure he is nominated prior to convention.

Pelosi et al will have to back off. They are damaging the party at the same time they damage Biden. They've got to retreat and protect their down ballot candidates.

I thought Joe would step down the Friday after the debate. I was wrong. Biden still has his Cabinet. Until they leave him, he's staying.

50/50 urban in those Democrat strongholds in states such as Michigan would be a nightmare for the left.

The media is still gaslighting us by saying “age”. It is not his age. It is about his declining mental capacity.

“Do they not understand it’s not his age but his cognitive decline that is the issue?”

It’s a 100% certainty that they understand.
