The Secret Service acknowledged Saturday that it had turned down requests of additional resources sought by former President Donald Trump’s security detail in the two years leading up to his attempted assassination last week, a reversal from earlier statements by the agency denying that such requests had been rebuffed.
Almost immediately after a gunman shot at Trump from a nearby warehouse roof while he spoke at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last weekend, the Secret Service faced accusations from Republicans and anonymous law enforcement officials that it had turned down requests for additional agents to secure Trump’s rallies.
“There’s an untrue assertion that a member of the former president’s team requested additional resources and that those were rebuffed,” Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesperson for the Secret Service, said last Sunday, the day after the shooting.

They’re ADMITTING it? That can only mean one thing. They’re going to pin it ALL on the head, and she’s going to resign. At which point it’ll be “Case closed!” And no further investigations will happen.
Wasn’t it just a week ago that they “absolutely” denied refusing Trump’s requests for added security? I guess absolutely doesn’t mean what it used to.
Another “conspiracy theory” becomes conspiracy fact.

The incompetence and personnel shortage are diversions. They DID have people who had eyes on the shooter for over a half an hour and they allowed him to get the shots off before they moved on him and they did let Trump go out there.
That is the story. MSM is determined to keep the focus off of that.
Must mean they’re afraid of worse revelations coming out. Until now, the SS has been mostly immune to the criticisms of the deep state.

I would have asked if they shorted his protection for being a convicted felon. Just like they said they wanted when they tried to introduce a bill for it.

That can’t be right, Mayorkas said that Trump’s campaign was never denied additional support or resources.

I hope when Trump gets back into office that he reshape the Secret Service and have high level Seals become secret service agents. Military should handle such tasks NOT civilians!
The fact that they admitted means there must ge a paper trail...And there is probably much worse to be revealed.
