If some polls are to be believed, one in three Democrats think that Donald Trump faked his own assassination attempt. When I read that, I thought, could this possibly be true? But this weekend on my drive home to West Virginia from the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, I got the theory first hand. And it's a fascinating doozy.
Station Square Ristorante, just off of I-80 in Liberty, Ohio, is an absolute gem. Ottavio and Bridget Musumeci have somehow managed to create a legitimate fine-dining experience attached to the Super 8 motel. And no, I’m not kidding. In the wood-paneled bar, as I ordered oysters and antipasto for a late lunch, I met Mark, originally from northern New Jersey, which his accent revealed before he did. And Mark, well, he had some very interesting things to say.
As is my way, I turned the conversation to politics and the assassination came up.
"That whole thing was a setup," Mark told me.
Before I could even respond, John, the bartender, who I would learn doesn’t like Trump or Biden, said, "Nah, two people are dead. No way."
Mark’s response was, "this is Donald Trump, he’s capable of anything."

Democrats who haven’t a clue what they are talking about are quite certain of what they are talking about. Where do they get this confidence in their fantasy of the evils of Trump?
I don’t doubt it. I heard virulent anti Trump rehtoric from two 82 year old high school classmates. One is a women who is an intellectual zero
The other is an anti business chemist who disparages all in business.
Wait, 1 in 3. That’s an improvement. I would have expected 2 of 3. Hell, with the way today’s democrat party is going, 4 of 3 would have been my expectation with the media fully trying to convince you that 4 of 3 was possible.

I think a similar number of Democrats believe they can change sexes by changing pronouns. I suspect those who believe Trump faked the assassination attempt and those who believe in pronoun changes are the same people.

Reagan was truly one of a kind... and my favorite, all-time, president. But Liberals back then were different. They have morphed into rabid, demonic Marxists now and what he said back then no longer applies. If only... we were still faced with mere “liberals” as our enemies within.
I thought Comperatore (and the others hit) was in the bleachers to Trumps left. That is, downrange from Trump, the assassin being to Trumps right.
Also the shots were on a downwards trajectory.
They were getting hit by the shots that missed Trump.
“never try to reason with unreasonable people” applies here...along with “people who are insane don’t realize they are”.
When someone accuses me of watching FoxNews, I respond, Nobody watches FOX NEWS anymore.That really confuses them.
My mom is living in fear of Project 2025 and has convinced herself Trump will implement all of it.
It’s fascinating how otherwise functioning people can get so deep into conspiracy theories.
Such bravery and stupidity, all at the same time. Democrats must really believe Trump is all powerful.
My sister isn’t quite this bad but she’s adamant that Trump is spearheading Project 2025 to make himself a dictator.

Rationalization is what remains when people have no passion for objective truth.
I was in an arcade with family when I got a text about the assassination attempt and the second I told the family about it my son in law said it was fake and both Trump and Biden were in on it and it was totally fake. I really didn’t think he was that stupid.

One guy shot in the arm was at the top corner of the bleachers to the left and you can see spalling of some kind either flesh/bone or railing in one of the videos.
