President Joe Biden is reportedly fed up with his pals, former President Barack Obama and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over what many are calling a coup d’état within the Democratic Party’s nomination process.
Several people close to Biden told the New York Times on Friday that the embattled president sees Pelosi as “the main instigator” and Obama as “the puppet master behind the scenes” in efforts to remove him from the 2024 race.
Biden’s anger seems to be triggered by a plethora of leaks and stories from anonymous sources suggesting he has considered passing the torch to a successor, likely Kamala Harris, his equally unpopular vice president.
According to the Washington Post, 37 lawmakers have called on Biden to exit the ticket. One of those lawmakers is Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., a close Pelosi ally who many believe got Pelosi’s approval before backstabbing Biden.
Despite these demands, Biden has pledged to remain in the race ahead of the Democratic National Convention.
“I look forward to getting back on the campaign trail next week to continue exposing the threat of Donald Trump’s Project 2025 agenda while making the case for my own record and the vision that I have for America,” Biden wrote following President Donald Trump’s monumental Republican National Convention.
While Obama has not publicly called on Biden to step down, he has also not defended him since the “bloodbath” presidential debate, perhaps aware of his former vice president’s cognitive decline.
As reported by the Times, a source close to Obama admitted that the former president was “startled and shaken by how much Mr. Biden had aged and seemed disoriented” at a multi-million-dollar fundraiser. Viral video showed Biden frozen while cheering the crowd at the fundraiser, prompting Obama to direct Biden to the exit.
While the Times does not specify who its sources were, former Obama aides Jon Favreau and Dan Pfeiffer criticized the White House for scolding them over comments made on Pod Save America—a podcast launched by former “Obama bros.”

Pelosi and Schumer won't be protected by their attempted coup after Biden gives the GOP a trifecta!
No, this is being engineered by everyone in the Democrat Party under 60. They hold just enough power to be heard BUT they hold the MONSTER SHARE of the MONEY. And they want GRUESOME.
As I presciently stated in January, the under-60 jackass Donkey crowd has gamed this out:

Then in 2026 the House and probably the Senate flips back to Dems, setting the stage for Vance v Gruesome in 2028, the Deep State goal here being 40M migras getting amnesty. So my suspicions of TrumpII in the bag were confirmed by Davos -- I mean every . single . multi-national . boob . said "TrumpII", and not only TrumpII, but "We're ready for it! The deregulation and the restarting of American energy independence, etc, etc."
Now Gruesome can quietly spend 2 years of the TrumpII trifecta aligning ALL of the Democrat donors and come out swinging in 2026 by funding the takeback of the House and Senate.

But impeachment applies to high crimes and misdemeanors, not to being mentally incompetent and a political liability. What would the impeachment charge be?

Yeah, “Biden” is fed up—Jill, that is. Joe is only concerned with what flavor of ice cream he is getting after dinner.
Impeachment is a political, and not a criminal, procedure. As you noted, impeachment must involve “high crimes and misdemeanors”. But those crimes are whatever the House of Representatives defines them to be!
So in Biden’s case, the House could define his crime to be “neglectful in his duties”. Or darn near anything else.
Benjamin Franklin even once remarked that a president could be impeached just for being rude.

I agree. That guy was a bystander to his own presidency. How many world leaders did he let tap-dance on his face while basking in the media coverage of how presidential and inspiring he was? This guy has the self-awareness of a shovel.

Vice president believes the president can no longer carry out the duties of his office.
A majority of the 15 cabinet members agree.
The VP and the cabinet write a letter stating their beliefs, the president loses power, and the VP becomes acting president.
If the president disagrees, he writes his own letter and regains power.
If the VP and cabinet still believe the president is unfit for duty, they have four days to send another letter. As soon as this letter is sent, the president again loses power, and the VP again becomes acting president.
Congress has 21 days to vote on the president’s ability to carry out the duties of the office. If at least two-thirds of both the Senate and House agree he’s unfit, the president permanently loses power, and the VP continues to be acting president. If less than two-thirds agree, the president again regains power.
