American Airlines, United and Delta have asked the FAA for global ground stop on all flights, according to an alert from the FAA on Friday morning.
The FAA is telling air traffic controllers to tell airborne pilots that airlines are currently experiencing communication issues.
Meanwhile, flights in the air will stay in the air, but no American, United or Delta flights will take off....

From what I’ve read, in Laymans terms, crowd strike, an antivirus/security vendor used by large corporations primarily, released a bad antivirus definition update.
If you were unlucky enough to be using their software on your servers or endpoints, and they were running when the update was pushed out, they basically got stuck in an infinite reboot/blue screen loop. This really had nothing to do with Microsoft, but the third-party security vendor if you weren’t running the software, but we’re running Microsoft systems, you were just fine.
It was also only Microsoft systems running the crowd strike security software. My employer does not run crowd strike, and we were fine. However, we couldn’t access some of our vendors systems to place orders, check, status, etc.

Apparently a bad update by the (leftist) antivirus company Crowdstrike has basically murdered like 75% of the internet. Bad update got pushed put at 10:20pm Eastern and it just cascaded from there.
Hit my site at 12:44am, took out everything. We are dead in the water. A bunch of banks, airlines, credit companies, etc are just gone.Most epic fail ever Billboards on times square are bsod screens.

I don’t understand how Crowdstrike garnered so much trust and power. Dems were using very dubious Crowdstrike “analysis” for anti-Trump propaganda in 2019.
Don’t forget the chocolate bars. Could be handy to trade or eat.

My HS history teachers hated seeing me with that book. Ditto with The Day The Universe Changed in the 80s.
