An Indiana State Prison (ISP) employee has been caught allegedly trying to smuggle contraband into the facility.
A nurse at the jail is accused of trying to smuggle cocaine and marijuana inside a frozen bowl of lasagna.
Court documents say 46-year-old Regina Davis reported for work on July 3 and had her property scanned as a standard procedure before being allowed in the facility when security officers felt something was odd about the image of her bowl of lasagna.
After chipping into the frozen pasta layers, two packages containing 84 grams of cocaine and 49 grams of marijuana were discovered in the food.
Initially, Davis said she did not know the lasagna contained any contraband, but investigators say her story changed when she was shown pictures of the drug filled packages recovered from her cell phone.
Davis said she was given instructions by unknown people on where to pick up the contraband and how it should be given to a person that would show up at her work station and use code language.
Court documents say Davis told investigators the safety of her and a family member was threatened if she did not comply.
This is the latest instance of an ISP employee caught allegedly trying to smuggle contraband into the facility.
In late May, two correctional officers at the prison were arrested when they were caught trying to enter the facility with contraband.
38-year-old Janise Clark allegedly had two vacuum sealed bags of marijuana between two slices of bread wrapped in plastic like a sandwich.
When questioned, Clark told investigators she had already made close to $20,000 bringing marijuana and tobacco to inmates over an undisclosed period of time.
56-year-old Lowreatha Roberts was accused of reporting to work with frozen balls of tobacco she claimed were "brownies baked in peanut butter."
The tobacco was allegedly intended for offenders, but Roberts denied receiving any money to deliver the contraband and claimed it was her first smuggling attempt at the facility.
The bitches be crazy.
Hybristophilia
Hybristophilia is a paraphilia involving sexual interest in and attraction to those who commit crimes. The term is derived from the Greek word hubrizein, meaning “to commit an outrage against someone”, and philo, meaning “having a strong affinity/preference for”. Many high-profile criminals, particularly those who have committed atrocious crimes, receive “fan mail” in prison that is sometimes amorous or sexual, presumably because of this phenomenon
LOVE
yeah, that frozen lasagna would be just about the first thing I’d check
Was sex involved? We need a pic to establish guilt.
That would be a good job for horny old women. They get their jollies, keeps the men from getting violent and no pregnancies. Who could object? Think of all the pen pals that these mass murderers get. Gotta be something there.
Inmates tell on staff
Sex with a lasagna?
You’re overdosing in Garfield the Cat cartoons
Tho I have to admit I’ve never tried it
