Seen for the first time since his son attempted to assassinate Trump, Matthew Crooks was pictured at the family home in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania as federal investigators visited Monday morning.
Clearly exhausted, his eyes showing the strain and the trauma of the past few days, Crooks opened the door to several members of the FBI who entered the unassuming brick home shortly before ten o’clock.
It was barely 48 hours since the Crooks family’s world was torn apart with the shocking events of Saturday afternoon when son Thomas Matthew, 20, opened fire on the former president as he addressed a rally of supporters in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Sometimes people can’t do anything about their kids even if they’re aware of issues; and this one apparently had a clean record and was years past the age of majority.
The father legally bought the gun. he is a mental health guy.IF he did nothing else but keep the gun from his kid because he above ANY other person on the planet should know the son is off. He deserves the chair. Its clearly his fault, NO one elses. AND the fbi gave him sunday off and only came monday? They should have been there Sat night grilling him, the jerk.
Multiply out that useless but expensive pacadillo by 100,000 and that’s the yearly output of college graduates as certified clinical social workers. It’s like manufacturing social cancer tumors to infect society with a cancer that nobody recovers from.
I have no training in dealing with the mentally disturbed.
But I do read a lot and had a brother who was a real problem.
In many studies of mental cases, you will se a reference to the subject’s cleverness at hiding his actiona as well as his beliefs.
Knowing his parents to be aware of symptoms, he would be very careful to hide his true character.
Every time, EVERY TIME the Democrats get in trouble some mentally ill loner comes out shooting.
Coincidence?
Straw purchase daddy needs to go bye-bye, into 40 to life.
True. But did this one still live at home? That also says something.
>>>Can’t blame the father for this.
I wonder if you can? Was there a nurturing relationship between a growing son & father or were they distant? I understand there was bullying at school.
The boy could have bought a gun legally himself, in Pennsylvania.
Father is a shrink. Mother is social worker. So, yes; they’re nuts.
Many 20-year-olds still live at home while they’re getting started in work or education.
I am not sure being raised by a couple of mental health professionals is the best environment. Mental health professionals are a bit out there on the normal spectrum.
“Sometimes people can’t do anything about their kids”
The problem in our society is we were taught by the media not to spank our kids, and the hate-filled, low IQ ideology of liberalism went along with it.
“The one who will not use the rod hates his son,
but the one who loves him disciplines him diligently.” Proverbs 13:24
Me too!
That means locking the firearm up in one part of the house and the ammunition in another preferably as far a part as possible.
You know so it’s handy on case of need..
(At least that’s what I say publicly. even though local law enforcement has said the law won’t be enforced) oh and the kid? He’s a better shot than me.
Keep the guns out of their reach?
That would be a good start. He used his father’s weapon.
Obviously you are a fellow professional, what were the kid's issues?
I feel for the parents. Lost their son and in such an infamous way.
Again, at his age and with his record, he could have bought his own gun.
Apparently both his parents were licensed professional counselors, though we still don’t know where:
