Forensic analysis suggests that as many as three weapons were fired at the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday.
The FBI said Sunday that the shooter acted alone.
The first three shots were consistent with alleged weapon A, the next five were consistent with alleged weapon B, and the final “acoustic impulse” was emitted by a possible weapon C, per audio analysis by Catalin Grigoras, director of the National Center for Media Forensics at the University of Colorado in Denver, and Cole Whitecotton, Senior Professional Research Associate at the same institution.
Audio analysis has also confirmed that the gunman was about 360 to 393 feet from the podium, according to forensics expert Robert Maher.
This conclusion aligns with CNN’s analysis that the gunman was on a rooftop 393 to 492 feet from the podium when shots rang out.
The shots exemplify a “crack-pop” sequence, typical when a supersonic bullet passes a microphone, before the “arrival of the corresponding muzzle blast sound,” Maher, who teaches audio forensics at Montana State University, told CNN.

Doubtful. In the vid from near Crooks position, the 2nd group of shots sounds MUCH louder and much different / closer than the 1st group.
There were thousands of high precision audio devices that day providing an uncommon field density of detail. Too bad there’s no site where the attendees could upload there respective videos for analysis. Should be able to pinpoint the locations of the originating gunfire.
This amateur sets distance to dead man on roof at around 435 feet, using GoogleEarth and the RULER function.

The clocks on all the cameras are synchronized with GPS satellites, so the time track of videos could line up quite easily.
The sign is not related.
The sign was anti-Biden. You can see more of them in the video of the stands after Trump left and they were caring for the wounded.
It is a play on the Apprentice meme “Joe Biden you’re fired!” Takes up more than one line to Biden’s name is by itself at the top.
The last shot was so long after the first and even second series of shots. In my mind that last shot was to finish the kid off. Perhaps still moving, I don’t know..
The supposed shooter is described by many as the “patsy”. He was recruited and set up to take the fall and the counter snipers bullet. The real shooters were in that building.

That was my thought as well. We sow two Secret Service snipes on the scary sloped roof behind Trump. We know at least one of them fired, likely both.
