Forensic analysis suggests that as many as three weapons were fired at the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday.
The FBI said Sunday that the shooter acted alone.
The first three shots were consistent with alleged weapon A, the next five were consistent with alleged weapon B, and the final “acoustic impulse” was emitted by a possible weapon C, per audio analysis by Catalin Grigoras, director of the National Center for Media Forensics at the University of Colorado in Denver, and Cole Whitecotton, Senior Professional Research Associate at the same institution.
Audio analysis has also confirmed that the gunman was about 360 to 393 feet from the podium, according to forensics expert Robert Maher.
This conclusion aligns with CNN’s analysis that the gunman was on a rooftop 393 to 492 feet from the podium when shots rang out.
The shots exemplify a “crack-pop” sequence, typical when a supersonic bullet passes a microphone, before the “arrival of the corresponding muzzle blast sound,” Maher, who teaches audio forensics at Montana State University, told CNN.

What if there really were two shooters? What if the dopey kid was the patsy that ambled up on the rooftop, because they let him, and had zero chance of doing any damage. They have his dead body, they have their perp.
What if there WERE another highly-skilled shooter sent there to send a “nobody f*cks with a Biden message” by just nicking President Trump’s ear just as what happened? For skilled shooter that’s an easy shot.

It’s CNN. Give it another day, and CNN will say it was SEAL Team 6 shooting with Springfield 1861 rifles.

I’m wondering what any evidence or forensics are worth filtered thru the same FBI that conspired agains Donald Trump.
Good question. But if you beat them to it and find the bullets and brass first and run forensics on them, the investigation becomes “tainted” by outside parties, “ultra-MAGA extremists” no less, pushing “conspiracy theories”. So it’s the FBI and SS or nobody. No alternative that I can see. Most we can do is carefully parse their reports and findings, and see if they slip up on some detail.
Boyland was beaten while she lay prostrated outside the Capitol. But they quickly did an “autopsy” and unilaterally cremated her, coming to the dubious conclusion that she overdosed on drugs, not tear gas. Everyone forgets about her, so the most we can do is keep bringing it up. Same here.

I don’t. But there was a video posted with a close-up of her. She was bouncing around a sign behind Trump, but you couldn’t read all of it because most was behind his left shoulder. It had the aspect ratio of a cell phone video but it makes more sense that it had been cropped out of a larger one ‘cause it seemed that it had been enlarged.

No. At 130 yards a decent shooter should be able to hit a person, but no one has millimeter level pinpoint accuracy with very high confidence given variables with wind/humidity/target motion/etc., which is what you're proposing. File this away with the leftist numbskulls alleging that it was a "staged" attack by Trump.
Next, the Magic Bullet?
Agreed. I don’t have audio forensics equipment, but I do have pretty good ears for audio “analysis”, and I watched and listened to several vids. In one of the vids taken near the building Crooks was on, the 2nd grouping of 5 shots is much louder, more rapid-fire, and have a distinctly different acoustic signature than the 1st 3 shots. Those 5 almost certainly were a LEO with something either quite near the taker of that vid, or much heftier than a .223, or (it sounded to me) both. The last 2 shots were again “quieter” and possibly the sniper(s) on the roof nearer Trump.
Sound reflections, resonances, etc., can easily be accounted for. Ever see a “waterfall plot” or an impulse response plot of a loudspeaker / or a loudspeaker in a room? Even reflections (usually termed “diffraction”) caused by the edges of the speaker cabinet are easily picked out.
1st shot would perhaps be FAIRLY accurate with a scope if Crooks had a few seconds to line up. Which it seems he did.
After a 1st shot, heck, I have trouble keeping even my .22LR scope’ crosshairs on target for quick follow up shots. Trump was moving by the 3rd shot, too.
I’d like to see full flight paths of the 3 shots Crooks got off. They sure did a lot of damage. :-(
I don’t think so. The sound of the group of 5 shots is too drastically louder in the vid from near the building Crooks was on. In the vid of the stage / Trump, the loudnesses are much closer in volume. The group of 5 almost certainly were fairly near to the taker of the “Crooks on building” vid.
