Forensic analysis suggests that as many as three weapons were fired at the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday.
The FBI said Sunday that the shooter acted alone.
The first three shots were consistent with alleged weapon A, the next five were consistent with alleged weapon B, and the final “acoustic impulse” was emitted by a possible weapon C, per audio analysis by Catalin Grigoras, director of the National Center for Media Forensics at the University of Colorado in Denver, and Cole Whitecotton, Senior Professional Research Associate at the same institution.
Audio analysis has also confirmed that the gunman was about 360 to 393 feet from the podium, according to forensics expert Robert Maher.
This conclusion aligns with CNN’s analysis that the gunman was on a rooftop 393 to 492 feet from the podium when shots rang out.
The shots exemplify a “crack-pop” sequence, typical when a supersonic bullet passes a microphone, before the “arrival of the corresponding muzzle blast sound,” Maher, who teaches audio forensics at Montana State University, told CNN.

“ But it explains why a kid who can’t shoot almost nailed a head shot under duress.”
*****************************************************
Well, he was a member of a firing range and was “practicing”. He also used a range finder so he had some familiarity with rifles and shooting. Just sayin’.
Yuppers...
Saw it All But “Kill Shot”
I am surprised an SS sniper didn’t climb up there and tell him, “You’re doing it all wrong. Here, let me show you”.
No shit:
1) Assassin
2) Initial semi auto fire from CS
3) "deadcheck" shot from .338 Lapua.
Yep. 3 Shoouters....one terrorists, 2 blueforce.
“I suppose she is being investigated.”
I’ve been to a couple outdoor Trump rallies. To get on the grandstands a special VIP pass was given by the Trump campaign. Unless they changed, doubt she was a plant. Most likely she was so engrossed with the camera she didn’t really notice much, or she just froze.
Check the Grassy Knoll...
Shooter plus two counter snipers perhaps? Lets not run willy nilly into unsubstantiated narratives.
My take
“The FBI said Sunday that the shooter acted alone.”
Just like Las Vegas?
The bullet entry point is the bridge of his nose. The back of his head would be missing. The bullet looks to have blown out his upper plate of teeth.
It looked to me like the prone sniper had his sites on the one story roof with the shooter. The sniper that was more upright looked like he was looking through his scope at the taller building to the left and beyond the shooter.
When the shooter fired, the upright sniper pulled his head away from the scope to see the new target, then moved his rifle down and to the right to acquire the shooter and fire.
yeah, that wasnt the impression I got. When i heard it live on RSBN it was four slow shots... four quick and then a long pause before the return fire that had a different sound.
That kid got 8 shots off before he got his head blowed off.
I still haven’t heard what the moron was shooting. Was it a .22 Long Rifle?

Now, the attempt on Trump's life was pretty easy to compute because we knew the exact location of the shooter and know that the 0.22 bullet hit Trump's right ear at a specific spot. And with possibly hundreds of not only cellphone cameras, but multiple broadcast quality cameras operating when Trump was hit, it was not hard to figure out the trajectory of the bullets fired.
That’s why they should be examining ballistics. Three people were hit in the body mass. Surely one or more of those projectiles are in federal possession.
I don’t know if it was posted here on Free Republic but there have been a couple of articles about her. Here is one from Newsweek:

I’m pretty sure a .22 would have blown a hole through the fire fighter’s skull at that distance.
Trump said one of the doctors said something about a .223 round, but why would the doctor know that? Although .223 is probably the most popular round for AR style rifles. And would cause a severe head injury at that range.
And many of the press might see .223 and call it a “.22”.
