New video shows the chaotic aftermath of the attempted assassination of Donald Trump and reveals what led to the former president visibly asking for his shoes back. Initially dazed, Trump told agents: 'let me get my shoes, let me get my shoes' as he got up from the ground.
The video covers an angle previously unseen amid the chaos from behind Trump as he spoke. It shows the Secret Service tackling Trump and removing his shoes and tossing them off the stage. Trump himself has also seen the bizarre side of the incident, confirming what was visible on the video clip in the first interview he gave after the shooting.

A team of snipers were INSIDE the building where Donald Trump’s 20-year-old would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks from the roof and opened fire after being spotted climbing into his shooting position 26 minutes earlier, bombshell new reports claim. These new allegations surfaced as questions mount over how Crooks was able to shoot the former president and kill a member of the rally crowd.
One of the snipers saw Crooks outside the building and staring up at the roof where he would eventually commit the shooting, CBS News reported.
Another sniper even took a photo of Crooks after he went back, sat down and checked his phone.
Snipers began to take real action when Crooks got out a rangefinder, with one of them sending a radio message to their command post, before Crooks vanished once more.
He returned once again, however, with a backpack. Multiple snipers radioed that he was headed to the back of the building. However, by the time backup arrived, he’d already gotten to the roof, with some officers hypothesizing that he used an air conditioning unit to make his climb.
By the time state police arrived at the scene Crooks had already done his damage and been killed by a Secret Service sniper.
I’m curious...why on earth did that short lady SS member decide to take the time to THROW Trump’s shoes in the first place? I put a check mark on the bizarre box.

I guess the Secret Service was going to toss him down the plane’s inflatable slide? Why remove his shoes? So he can’t run away when they try to finish the job?
I know right!? Rather than cover him, this lady takes the time to bend down, pick up, and toss his shoes away. Begs belief. The other female SS looks like a kid playing cops and robbers the way she’s jumping side to side trying to “scan the crowd”. I’d rather protect myself than have her watching over me. I believe it’s the same one who had challenges holstering her weapon after the fact.

You mean the short lady who couldn’t protect Trump because she was too short and had no bulk...She also reached down to grab Trump’s hat. One dumb broad. I’m not sure but I think I saw a SS dude eventually swat her out of the way. The pony tails were absolutely worthless.
As I woman I can say this without being bashed as a woman hater. The dingbat SS was likely a DEI pick, or one of the temporaries that had less business there than I would in that position. Least I’d not have taken time to throw away his shoes and in the least made sure I had his mid-section covered since Trump is like a foot taller than me!
Now, now. Don’t bash pony tails! I loved wearing them when I was 10 years old. (Grew out of that stage by 7th grade though ;>)
He didn’t take them off, the came off when he was knocked to the ground, President Trump stated that himself. It’s here on one of the hundreds of threads.

Definitely a DEI pick. Definitely NOT an actual SS Agent. The whole detail on Saturday were OTAs (Other Treasury Agents) not trained in protection. Trump’s earlier, better SS detail had been reassigned to protect Jill.

Trump’s new head of the Secret Service needs to make sure the entire complement of DEI agents are stationed permanently on Biden’s and obama’s details.

The Crooks guy had been identified as suspicious about a half hour earlier when he entered the general area. Spotters had been following and watching him from the get-go, but then lost him.
So ... instead of delaying Trump from going on stage until they could find the guy and continue to observe him, they let Trump begin as planned.
