this BBC interview with a guy outside the security perimeter who claims he saw the shooter before he fired is absolutely wild
Could easily be corroborated by others near him.
The SS couldn’t see the shooter because of the angle of the roof, but was able to see him well enough for a head shot moments later. Hmm...
100% agree with that guy...why the hell wasn’t EVERY roof of every building in the area not secured by secret service? It’s inexcusable.....I’ve been to rally’s in rural areas...and you could see EVERY single elevated area had secret service or law enforcement occupying those areas. Something is not right here....
There ARE .22 rounds that are “sub-sonic”..
CANNOT HEAR THEM AT ALL.
In the News/Activism forum, on a thread titled This BBC interview with a guy outside the security perimeter who claims he saw the shooter before he fired is absolutely wild, Chewbarkah wrote: The SS couldn’t see the shooter because of the angle of the roof, but was able to see him well enough for a head shot moments later. The interviewed man seemed to be making the point that the shooter had a rifle in full view - how did he approach the roof without being spotted by SS with binoculars? The interviewee said if he himself had 'something' (weapon) of concern to SS, then he would expect SS to focus on him - but this man had to approach with a rifle and not be seen.
Odd that SS created a security perimeter in which they had a massive blind spot they couldn't see with binoculars. A few buildings and they put SS on one (or two?) and not on a critical roof a shooter could site from? Once people started pointing and telling SS/Police - still it took about 3 or 4 minutes to respond. Too long.
Of course, the British press, not the American press, reported this.
The American press would have labeled the witness a white supremacist.
Original estimate was 200 yards.
I started to wonder if the shooter was further away and using a 222 rifle, which is much more powerful than a .22 LR.
.22 LR have killed attacking bears at close range.
I think today means that Trump is tougher than a bear!
I believe the shooter hit the teleprompter and a piece of glass from there hit Trump’s ear.
Witness is credible. Pray for his safety.
Why was roof not secured? 5 minutes notice? Trump could have been told to duck.
I fully expect the SS to counter, “only a few seconds”., etc.
Why didn’t they secure the roof?
Wonder if the shooter saw this guy and got nervous and felt rushed. May have hesitated wondering whether to try a shot at this guy first.
Prediction: witness to be intimidated by FBI. They will probably threaten him if he gives more interviews.
Adding: I hope someone took a video from this witness’s yard.
Debunked - Trump said the bullet pierced his ear. From the Daily Beast:
The shot which may only have been an inch from killing Trump could end up being one of the most consequential moments in American political history.
It is fundamental that the roof should have been secured.
The witness was well-spoken and clear-headed
Yet he said that when his group was pointing at the assassin climbing up the building, the police / Sec. Service could not see him, apparantly, because of the slope of the roof
But then it seems the assassin was shot by Sec. Service. So they did have a line-of-sight to him after all.
If not SS at least local LEOs.
It is SS responsibility to secure the entire area and any damn fool can see how many buildings with slanted roofs are within rifle shot.
A real sniper could have been more than 1000 yards away and they didn't even cover a couple of hundreds yards.
I've killed deer at 250 yards and I'm no where near a sniper type shooter.
The head of Trump's SS team should be investigated and at the very least fired if not more punishment.
So GO GET HIM!!! Watching someone crawl up a roof, and you didn’t go after him? “WE were telling the police...” So ONE of you tell the police, and you arrange a group of people to GET HIM.
How can any media report this assassination attempt without mentioning the attempts to put Trump in jail? They are all related.
200 yards is easy with the right rifle, skill, and a good scope. Thank God the shooter did not have all of these. Otherwise, President Trump would have been severely injured or dead.
