If President Joe Biden‘s goal in tonight’s press conference were to avoid being outed from office through the 25th Amendment, he would have succeeded. But in trying to save his campaign, he utterly failed.
Biden clearly showed he is not completely non compos mentis. In general, he is aware of what is going on, and when he isn’t in a bad spell, he can essentially keep track of policy. What he did not come close to doing, though, is to convince anybody with half a brain that he will be up for the job for four more years.
Biden looked and sounded old. Biden rambled a lot, even if not entirely insensibly. He committed yet another howler of a mistake by referring to Vice President Kamala Harris as “Trump” on the same day that he referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as “Putin.” He repeatedly did that weird and unsettling thing where he suddenly lowers his voice sometimes almost to a whisper, for effect, but rather randomly, without any real reason to do so. He almost never speaks distinctly, showing that even on a comparatively “good” night for him, he still garbles words, runs words together, and repeats phrases in odd ways.
Biden barely reassured watchers that he has the vigor expected of the leader of the free world for the next six months. There is no imaginable way that he can still be doing so in 2027 or 2028 — or, frankly, even by this time next year.
It is utterly irresponsible to ask the country to elect him to serve until January 2029. Again, this is not about whether he can kinda-sorta-semi-manage the presidency now. This is about grappling with China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, terrorist Islamists, and others when he is 85 instead of 81.
A doddering old man cannot project even reasonable strength, much less power. But a president who cannot project power leaves 330 million people at risk, not to mention perhaps billions more around a world that could become far more unstable if the president is weak and ineffective.
Biden is acting like a selfish man refusing to accept reality or put country above self. He ought to withdraw with dignity before he is shoved aside like frayed, torn old furniture.

While it will be delightful to see the horrible Bidens finally get what’s coming to them, we’ll almost certainly get a more competent challenger. Yes! FR is full of them! Doom & gloom, no matter how good the news. I’m seriously beginning to think that a segment of Freepers & conservatives get off on playing the victim. It’s funny, they, like most conservatives make fun of Democrats & lefties for their victim psychology in seeing oppression & bigotry around every corner, their victim culture in identity politics & hyphenated Americanism & their victim behavior in making excuses & blaming others for their own failures.
Enter stage right- the latest group of conservatives who, though making fun of leftists for victimhood, have decided to cash in on the trend & define themselves by their negativity, hopelessness & exasperation. As they tell it, they can see the future & there’s no hope. It’s been decided from on high- they have talked to God (bumped into him at a neighbors bbq) & confided to partygoers personally: ‘I shall smite thee’...yada yada...’thou shall descend into a lake of fire’...something something...’thine acts of treachery shall be revisited upon thee’...Yada yada...then something about ‘roasting in the fiery pits of hellfire’ because of, you know, sin & some other stuff! So....yeah...I guess they say he was pretty frosty! Mmm hmmm! Pretty alarming, isn’t it?
So, they’ve been saying all this & so I said back: ‘well, I for one do not believe the Lord was at that neighborhood BBQ. I think you are making that up’. So then they said: ‘Na ah’. Aside from negative nancy bbqers who are all downtrodden & pessimistic & awaiting the rapture, you also have their cousins (basically, a bunch of pinheads from Albuquerque shouting ‘no more’, ‘never again’. So I walked up & I asked what they are doing & they said ‘opposing Rinos’. So I say: ‘OK, I agree with you, can’t stand the bastard Rinos’. They said ‘that’s our biggest priority this election- getting rid of rinos.’ I said ‘shouldnt the first priority be defeating the communists that want to kill us & the next priority cleaning out all the rinos’. Then they said I was an establishment Rino for daring to say that. They also said that if Trump picks the wrong VP, they’re going to boycott! They also say that they aren’t going to support any other Republicans- they’re going to boycott! I asked if that was counterproductive, just willingly allowing Democrats to win? Why would an intelligent person be motivated to do something so breathtakingly stupid? They replied: ‘to save the country’ & ‘we have principles’! Soo...yeah...we are betting our futures, our pasts & our nation & freedoms on our conservative coalition making sound choices, believing in success & turning out in force in the election- even though it’s glaringly clear every time I sign back on to FR: about a quarter of our voting Bloc are negative nancy, defeatist pinheads whose iqs don’t rise above room temperature & whose snarky, miserable doomsday attitudes are really starting to piss me off 😡🤬

These people don’t care about rules. Nothing stopping Harris from taken over and having hurt VP ultimately run. I would assume it would be the Harris-X person ticket and just like Harris can take over the funds x-person, one would assume, could take over the funds. Bottomine is, they’ll find justification to get whichever outcome they want. These people are well past “Democracy”. If you didn’t believe they cheated in 2020 this episode really should give you pause.
