On Thursday evening, Joe Biden held what was widely dubbed his "big boy" press conference...
It was a rough start, for sure...
Of course, the speech was irrelevant. The questions and answers are what matter and it didn't go very well.
For starters, his "big boy" press conference was made up of pre-approved reporters.
In response to the first question, which was about Kamala Harris's ability to serve if he doesn't, he said, "I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be Vice President if she wasn't qualified to be president."
Joe Biden even seemed to think somebody else is the president.
And there were all kinds of brain malfunctions...
Make no mistake about it: this was not a great press conference, but it was better than his performance at the debate and his interview with George Stephanopoulos. And that's a problem for the Democrats. From the perspective of Biden's campaign, that's good enough for him to stay in the race.
Joe Biden's campaign is cratering, and this press conference won't convince the naysayers that everything is fine -- and it won't convince the holdouts that Biden should go. The situation remains at a stalemate, which means the Democratic Party will continue to be divided over what to do about Joe Biden.
At the moment, it looks like Joe Biden will survive to fight another day. But the forces hoping to get Biden to step aside are still growing. What's going to happen next? Who knows?

They will drag this out until it is too late for Trump to attack successfully the replacement....and then pull the switcheroo to every dems glee and Trump’s inability to stop the relief and the suprise train. He campaigned well against A, but will be unable to deliver a successful fight against a B in time for the election. And a few dead voters later, voila.
And if my recollection is correct, neither has ever dissed Trump. Which cannot be said of many of the VP contenders (e.g., Vance, Burgum).

As long as Biden can make it thru his convention, we’re in pretty good shape. Assume he sticks with Harris at the convention then, even if he goes down before the election, Harris stays on the ticket and we’ve got the black male population on our side and the black female population on hers. But that still might mean a larger percentage of the black vote for Trump.
Trump doesn’t have a racist bone in his body. He grew up in a mixed race New York and got along with everyone. I believe he’s sincere in his religious reaching out to various communities and it’s doing him good in the black community.
So, once again, our main concern is - as always - voter fraud.
Now that is a problem. For decades, the GOP has rarely effectively fought vote fraud.
Put more succintly, the GOP has rarely fought.

The Big Boy Presser, so called . was a staged event with pre approved rehearsed questions, assembled to make it appear that Joe is vigorous and capable for serving four more years.

July 11th the day Trump was to be sentenced and to be just another day of him being unjustly persecuted by evil DemoRats elites. Instead they’re kvetching and twisting in knots over their own corrupted senile puppet who fluctuates between periods of cogent lucidity and discombobulated brain clouds. Their attention to their vile TDS has definitely been diverted.
I like your choices. I’m underwhelmed by the top four or five names that continue to pop up. I hope Trump totally surprises everyone, knocks it out of the park as they say. And with either one of those choices, I believe he would.
He won’t come out of this ‘well’ because he isn’t well. In his best days he was a mean, arrogant, nasty inveterate liar. The only thing that’s different these days is he can’t keep his lies straight. What’s next? He beat Medicare/ Is Social Security far behind? He clings to certain lies: The ‘fine people lie’ and his son Beau’s burn pit glioblastoma and whenever he speaks to Trump about it, it’s with a mean scowl, gritted teeth and very much feigned indignation. It’s a huge turn off.
The best way he can be described now is the “Get off my lawn” President.
