A frustrated White House press corps finally gets to question Biden
CNN ^ | July 11, 2024 | By Hadas Gold

For weeks, the White House press corps has been boiling – and not from the Washington, DC, heat.

They’re frustrated. Some feel the White House misled the press before President Joe Biden’s stumbling performance at last month’s CNN presidential debate. Others have been exasperated by the White House’s response since then to questions about the president’s health, often leading to follow-ups and clarifications from the administration on otherwise straightforward questions. And nearly all of the White House correspondents who spoke to CNN for this report felt the president should have held a press conference with reporters in the immediate aftermath of the debate.

Now, two weeks after Biden’s eye-opening debate performance, journalists from the nation’s biggest news outlets will finally get their chance to question the president directly when Biden takes questions Thursday evening during the NATO summit.

Expect fireworks.

Frustrated? Misled the press? Everyone in the press has been talking about how they've known this or been told this for at least a year. What total BS.

Hadas Gold's nose likely grew at least foot longer with that whopping BS lie. No one who has seen Traitorjoe in the last four years is surprise by his sinking into the abyss of dementia. The enemedia is just scrambling with some CYA claims. They are as traitorous as Joe.

If/When Trump gets re-elected and we have a Republican House and Senate, Congress needs to hold hearings on media bias and subpoena the lot of them - Maddow, O’Donnell, Tapper, etc., play their own lies in front of them and demand explanations from them. It should be televised for all to see - something like the Church Committee.

Who is this "Joe Biden" person, anyway? The press knows nothing about him!

I disagree. What good would an investigation do?

Call them liars, list the lies. Require CNN (pronounced SIN) MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox to issue abject apologies leading off every news broadcast for a month and admitting their criminal malfeasance if they want press credentials back.

Maybe give Peter Doocy, and some guy from OAN the job of asking questions at the news conference and make the others quote that source.

Just cut them off. Don’t deal with them. Call them propagandist rather than journalist

I think the people who are really running things want Joe gone.
But Joe won’t leave.

I bet the journalists will be given an assignment: Make him look bad. Humiliate him. Make it impossible for him to stay in. We need him to get out.

>>I disagree. What good would an investigation do?

Besides exposing them and getting them to answer questions under oath? How about uncovering who was giving them their marching orders? How about asking them under oath if they knew they were lying or were they just bad at their job? How about finding out if some of them were being paid off by the DNC, coordinating interviews and stories with Democrats or being threatened by the alphabet-agencies? This lock-step Pravda-like behavior doesn’t just happen by accident. It goes beyond just group-think and into deliberate collusion by the parties involved.

This is the part of the plot where their hero faces the greatest challenge of his journey. If he fails to appease the media, he fails his mission.

If he is alert, aware, and comprehensible, the press will hoist him upon their shoulders and restore him to his anti-Trump role.

Except for that pesky 1st Amendment thing.

“access to Biden, who has conducted fewer press conferences than his recent predecessors”

Uh, fewer??? How about almost none in comparison!
