That’s a silly analogy. Biden is at worst a lion with his strength somewhat attenuated. As pointed out elsewhere, the current occupant of the White House has a serious perch with serious advantages.

Steve Sailer at Unz uses a hundred or so words to say what should be evident to anyone with a pulse - even if some other Democrat has a greater chance of winning 2024, it matters not at all to Biden, because the most important thing to Joe’s personal interest is that if anyone wins, that man is him. So long as he’s within striking distance, and he is - he’s staying in. He won’t quit and they can’t make him.

In general, leaders don’t quit unless they’re forcibly removed. Democrats simply lack the force to take Joe out of the race.

[My Peak State theory suggests that often the guy nominally at the peak of the publicly disseminated organization chart, such as President Joe Biden, often has a remarkable amount of power to resist everybody not at the top of the org chart, especially if he is a stubborn old fool. But, whaddaya whaddaya? Sure, we are the shadowy cabal of handlers, shotcallers, insiders, and global power-brokers. We are the people that Donald Sutherland warned you about in JFK (along with far more that he didn’t know about yet).

But Dr. Jill doesn’t want Joe to quit, Hunter doesn’t want Joe to quit, and Joe doesn’t want Joe to quit. Against the combined might of Dr. Jill, Hunter, and Joe, we are stumped.]

We need Biden to stay in as long as possible.

Dems need to take a hard line pro and against. Divide the party.

The media needs to clearly make a choice and publicize it.

Then, they need to explain how long they have known Biden is a vegetable. And how and why they have lied for that long.

Good quote from Sailer—raises a lot of interesting questions.

In his analogy what is needed to remove the old guy at the top (of any organization) is an organized plan by skilled and intelligent people.

That may be the issue here.

It is not that the Biden clan is so powerful—it is that their opponents are disorganized and not all that smart or skilled.
