That’s a silly analogy. Biden is at worst a lion with his strength somewhat attenuated. As pointed out elsewhere, the current occupant of the White House has a serious perch with serious advantages.
Steve Sailer at Unz uses a hundred or so words to say what should be evident to anyone with a pulse - even if some other Democrat has a greater chance of winning 2024, it matters not at all to Biden, because the most important thing to Joe’s personal interest is that if anyone wins, that man is him. So long as he’s within striking distance, and he is - he’s staying in. He won’t quit and they can’t make him.
In general, leaders don’t quit unless they’re forcibly removed. Democrats simply lack the force to take Joe out of the race.
Obviously, the Establishment, whoever they are precisely, doesn’t want Trump to win. And they feel that Biden’s knuckleheaded refusal to now gracefully bow out is going to get Trump elected.

I've met any number of 99-year old's that are as sharp as a tack. In fact, this last Father's Day I ran into a 99-year old WWWII/Korean War veteran at IHOP that had the waiting area captivated by his witty banter.

This real life scenario could be a theme for a horror movie. One in which deceiving and scheming puppeteers control their world leader puppet to do their bidding but later the puppet learns they are going to ditch him for another. The defiant puppet gets revenge by cutting his own strings and retaliates against his evil puppeteers while at the same time flubs up all his dealings in the world further causing mayhem and disaster of which doesn’t register with him but only that he’s still a relevant tough guy stringless puppet leader of the free world, a role that only he can fill.
Biden is desperate to hang on to his position of power. To do that, he is purportedly blackmailing former President Obama (against a threat of going public with what what he (Biden) knows). 🤨

I would really not be surprised if SOMEONE...not sure who...makes Biden an “offer he can’t refuse” to step down and clear the way. That same offer will be made to Kamala. Then comes the incoming Newsom/Whitmer ticket.
Unless they use the 25th amendment, Biden doesn’t have to go anywhere.
I don’t think he can even be removed from the ticket at the convention. He won the primary...thanks in large part to the lying media who protected him and Obama himself...who thought he could drag Biden across the finish line one more time. Obama thought wrong. Now he’s out for blood.
