A federal judge ruled against NBC after top anchors accused doctor of performing 'mass hysterectomies' on women inmates of an immigration facility ... A nurse at the facility had made a whistleblower complaint alleging that Amin was performing "mass hysterectomies," many of which were medically unnecessary, and that he was known as "the uterus collector." The nurse’s claims, which she admitted were based on hearsay, were later found to be false.
"In the end, we are left with this: NBC investigated the whistleblower letter's accusations; that investigation did not corroborate the accusations and even undermined some; NBC republished the letter's accusations anyway," Wood wrote in a scathing 108-page ruling on June 26. She ordered a jury trial to determine if MSNBC engaged in "actual malice," the standard to determine defamation.

She may be in cahoots with the Dr., and will collect a portion of the pot. I always look for the cynical angles in cases like these. Not saying that is the case. Just that it’s a possibility. It’s certainly a story that MSNBC would run with without verifying.
Very doubtful a Dr, after spending 8-10 years in school, residency & specialization, and hundreds of thousands of $$, would engage in a conspiracy to accuse himself of misconduct on the off-chance a jury would award him more $ than he could otherwise earn, and then split it with his accuser.

You missed the part where the Dr. perf’d only 2 hysterectomies w/ICE approval, and the accusations were (1) unable to cooberate [as in bullsh*t] or (2) were directly contradicted.
Maybe, I am just saying these kind of things are going on, and we should be calling the left out on it.

I hope they have to pay and pay. They will never be called to account for their straight-up lies about Trump, but this disgusting attempt to smear his border policies by sliiming an innocent doctor deserves a scourging ass-whipping and an enormous fine.

I would like to read about this case, but I think I will hold out for the story written by someone with composition skills surpassing those of an 8-year-old. Just the headline made my head hurt....

However, doctors engage in illegal activities all the time. Look how many defraud Medicare & Medicaid. I've known of Dr. Feelgood who deal in prescription fraud, or used to. Doctors that hand out prescription drugs for sex. Doctors that do unnecessary surgeries. Doctors are humans, and humans can be corrupted just like anyone else.
This might be hard to detect, if they do it right.
Something just seems fishy to me. You've got to admit that it's a perfect defamation case. Perhaps too perfect?
