Newsweek ^ | July 8, 2024 | Joe Edwards

At least 20 people have been killed and 50 injured following Russian missile attacks on cities across Ukraine, including one which struck the country's largest children's hospital in Kyiv, according to Ukrainian Internal Affairs Minister Igor Klymenko.

Klymenko also said that Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Donetsk Oblast were hit by Russian strikes.

"More than 40 missiles of various types" were used in the attack, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

"Russian terrorists have once again launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine," he said, adding that "all services are engaged to rescue as many people as possible.

The Associated Press reported that Monday morning's rush-hour attacks were partly carried out using Kinzhal hypersonic missiles – one of the most advanced Russian weapons which flies at 10 times the speed of sound, making it a challenge to intercept...

Did I say the ONLY reason this war is continuing is "the "military-industrial complex" and Biden stands to gain."

You fabricated that.

Did you list ANY other reasons for the war? No

So each missile killed 0.5 persons? This doesn’t add up.

Are you saying that every time someone mentions one reason for this war, they must list every reason?

Now you're being illogical...and a wee bit insane.

If I want to have a discussion with an illogical person, I can call up an old girlfriend.;-)

BTY, I didn’t mention NATO either. Don’t you want to whine about that omission also?

Most likely a false flag. Biden and his corrupt cohorts in Ukraine probably did it.

Yup, Ukraine has been leveling their own cities with drones, missiles and gliding bombs for three years now.

Russians haven't obliterated any Ukraine villages, towns and cities. Amazing

The Peculiar Russian Missile 'Cemetery' in Eastern Ukraine

The eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv has a peculiar "cemetery," one that recalls some of the worst damage done since the Russian invasion: the debris of rockets used against this town and its people.

The graveyard has more than 1,000 missiles, or parts of them. Local authorities hope they can help provide information for any prosecution case against Russians authorities and soldiers. And one day, maybe, they will become part of a museum of the atrocities in the country.

Yup, Zelensky is so corrupt. Why didn't Putin just bribe him?

NATO meeting in DC this week. Russia is demonstrating that the war is unwinnable for Ukraine. The senseless death and destruction will continue in a proxy war, which could have been avoided. A failure of diplomacy.

“Wars are messy, wars are dirty and people are clueless about the conduct...”

You are 100% correct. People also have short memories. It’s not like the United States can stand on the moral high ground. We nuked cities full of women and children. And that was not the worse of it, the firebombing of Tokyo killed well over 100,000 thousand people (mostly women and children since the men were off to war). Of course, the young men that died in that war count too. Over 25,000,000 young men died. Their wives, sons, mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers lost loved ones.

The military industrial complex loves bathing in blood and is claiming 100s of thousands of young men’s souls in this war too. Can’t Putin use the same excuse that the civilian bombings will save lives in the long run?

War is hell and we should not be prolonging it. This bombing is a direct result of the US prolonging the war too. We are partially responsible because we do not want to sue of peace and Biden needs the illegal campaign cash kickbacks from Ukraine. The end result is if Ukraine happens to weaken the Russian’s will to fight (only way they will push them out), it will be a Pyric Victory at best.

Russia shares a 1,400 mile border with Ukraine along with hundreds of years of shared history. The cultural, political, linguistic, and economic ties are long and deep.

Crimea will never be part of Ukraine again. The Donbass will not be returned. The Russians are home.

So, safer in Ukraine during a “massive” Russian attack than in Chicago on a long holiday weekend.

Putin couldn’t bribe him enough to begin to cover the sums Zelinsky has amassed by continuing the war.

LOL, right. At the start of the war it wouldn't have been safer for Zelensky to just take Putin's bribe?

This war has been ongoing since 2014. It began with the US/EU supported coup of the duly elected government of Ukraine. This spawned the separatist movement in the Donbas and the unopposed Russian invasion and annexation of Crimea. The Obama/Biden Administration did essentially nothing in response.

However, the push to get Ukraine into NATO continued. Since 2008 Russia has drawn a red line that it will never allow Ukraine to join NATO. Our compromised President Biden ignored Russia’s red line. When you f*ck around, you find out. This war could have been avoided.

Right, because no Ukrainian soldiers died yesterday along the 600 mile front.

This war could have been avoided.

Sure, by withdrawing NATO from Eastern Europe, like Putin demanded in 2021 and turning over Ukraine, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, etc back to ruZZian hegemony.

Russia issues list of demands it says must be met to lower tensions in Europe

The demands, spelled out by Moscow in full for the first time, were handed over to the US this week. They include a demand that Nato remove any troops or weapons deployed to countries that entered the alliance after 1997, which would include much of eastern Europe, including Poland, the former Soviet countries of Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, and the Balkan countries.

You keep using “strawman arguments” in your comments. Every law school and every high school debate coach teaches students that using strawman arguments and other logical fallacies in court or in debates or even in discussions is an automatic loser and makes the user look unintelligent.
