That’s $7.41 per kid per day for 10 days.

And Dad doesn’t eat any of that.

Maybe not too bad, but it WAS a lot less.

Trader Joe’s is overpriced. Should go to Walmart instead.

Trader Joe’s? I bet his $444 would have gone a lot farther at many other stores.

Other than Whole Paycheck, Trader Joe’s is just about the worst place to shop for a large family. It’s totally geared towards singles and couples without children households. It offers small quantity, pre-packaged items with higher than average per pound prices.

$45/day for 6 kids (family of 8) is cheap.

Easily a gallon of milk per day. And a large box of Wheaties. and 2lb of hamburger or at least a whole chicken.

5lbs of potatoes per day, easy.

10 days x 3 meals/day × 6 children = 180 meals.

$444/180 meals = $2.47 per child, per meal.

IT is all his own fault.

IF YOU HAVE 6 KIDS-—who do not use TRADER JOE’S as your main grocery supplier.

Ralph’s-—Raley’s-—Hughes-—WAL MART—LOTS of other choices.

IF he is going to do all his shopping at the top shelf-—I have no sympathy.

Six children is a big, beautiful family. But, many big families look for ways to cut their grocery bills, even in these hard times. A pound of pasta at TJ’s is 99 cents.

Well, I like Trader Joes stuff, but if you go there to feed your family, you deserve to get fleeced for every cent you spend.

That would be like me complaining that I spend all my $$$ in food at Publix! I don’t! We go to Publix, Winn-Dixie, Fresco y Mas (Sunglasses needed!), Trader Joe’s, WalMart and Spouts.

I found Trader Joe’s to be extremely expensive in Kansas, even before Bidenflation took a strong hold. I walked through the store and didn’t purchase anything! Then I went to Aldi’s and shopped.

My daughter spends close to $500/mo. to feed 7, but I’ve noticed the leftovers are greatly reduced as are the treats. There’s more chicken and poÅ•k, alot less beef.
