Perhaps every generation has its own subgroup of miscreants. Unfortunately they tend to be noisier than the real patriots.

I’m a Zoomer who’s wholeheartedly proud to be an American — but sometimes it feels like I’m the only one.
In fact, poll after poll finds that my generation is markedly less patriotic than our predecessors.
It’s no wonder, considering we grew up in tumultuous political times and were never taught why we should take pride in our country. A Gallup poll from last year found that, while four in 10 American adults overall say they are extremely proud to be an American, just a measly 18% of those aged 18 to 34 say the same.

Pubic education.
3 or 4 generations of communism teachings and degredation of the US.
Where have they learned anything positive about the American past or the American people of the past, or the Western Civilization of the past, even their 40 and 50 year old parents have barely heard anything positive about that past.
I blame Howard Zinn.
Of course they are. All of those career opportunities the previous generations enjoyed were shipped out of the country. Why? Because the previous generations thought that saving a few pennies on communist made paint brushes was more important than their own kid's future.
And that's what really burns me up. Studies like this say that Gen Z as a group are less patriotic than their predecessors, but it was the so called patriotic generations who sent our jobs, technology, money, and tax base to a communist country. Patriotic? Communist? Does anyone else see the contradiction in this?
It was also the patriotic generations that chose communist slave labor over their own Vets. Now we have a major homeless Vet and Vet suicide problem. And the generations that made that choice want to call Gen Z unpatriotic.
Yes, I know about the self righteous students who got into debt for their degrees in homosexuality in homo sapiens studies, and I have no sympathy for them. However a lot of young did what they were supposed to do. They got training in the technical fields only to watch as those jobs were offshored. Now they're left with multiple part time jobs saying "Fries with that?" while the government talks about record low unemployment.
So now our kids are angry and rioting instead of holding down high paying jobs and paying off their student loans, and the generations who sent the jobs out of the country want to call them a bunch of cellar dwellers.
Is it any wonder Gen Z is so pessimistic and angry?

No surprise. That is what we’ve allowed the schools to teach them for the last 40+ years.
Maybe because all they hear in media and in schools is an obsession with killing babies, rainbow perversion, and nonstop anti white, anti American BS.
On top of that a medical industry that has taken a very, very dark turn.

Why I’m not surprised:
1. Young college age women are disproportionally socialist.
2. A large number end up in colleges of “education” that are highly infused with socialist doctrine.
3. The US single mother birthrate has surpassed 42%.
4. From pre-K thru middle school, teachers are 85% female, and most administrators are highly effeminate and liberal. By high school, female teachers are 75% of the average faculty.
The chances of a non-woke high school graduate are dismally small.
Does anyone remember the hippies?
Can anyone believe that they were patriotic?
What about kids during the depression, when socialism was in the ascent?
Sure, not every boomer dropped acid nor every kid in the 30s quoted Marx.
But without a long time-series of accurate polling data, articles like this represent speculative projection.
It’s also contrary to actual data pointing to youths becoming more conservative and rejecting their pod-eating brethren.
