Israel has lost effective sovereignty in the northern part of the country, thanks to constant Hezbollah projectile fire that has led to the evacuation of tens of thousands of Israelis, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Monday.
The Times of Israel reported:
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says that Israel “has effectively lost sovereignty in the northern quadrant of its country because people don’t feel safe to go to their homes.”
In an on-stage interview at the Brookings Institution, Blinken reiterates his belief that Israel does not want a war in Lebanon, but admits that “they may well be prepared to engage in one if necessary — from their perspective — to protect their interests.”
He says that Hezbollah does not actually want a war, that Lebanon does not want one either because it would be the primary victim; and that Iran does not want a war because it would prefer to save Hezbollah for a scenario in which it has a direct conflict with Israel.

Thanks to scumbags like Blinken. Self loathing Jew.
How much “projectile fire” do you have to take before it’s considered an act of war; or are only Jews required to exercise restraint?
So what are you doing to help, Blinken???
Israel Has Effectively ‘Lost Sovereignty’ in the North
Did you get that confirmed by the “51” Tony?
Will be so happy to see these monkeys replaced!
oh i thought northern israel had lost sovereignty...
eff em
Time for Israel to start nuking people...
They should invade Lebanon again and use it as a buffer zone from crazed ragheads
simple solution is to wipe out a 10 square block area around each missile fired into Israel.
The terrorists then get to pick what parts of their country are destroyed. I would automate the response also! As soon as a missle is launched an immediate response levels the entire area the missle was launched from regardless of what is there.
Ok so that’s what Blinkon says, but what about, Winkon and Nod, they may be the smarter of the 3.
Winken Blinken and Nod is using the term sovereignty here in a very unusual manner.
In a redacted video, Tucker Carlson (who needs no introduction) sheds important light on this phenomenon, where he comments on Schwab – whom he met not long ago – coming across as an ‘elderly idiot,’ incapable of saying anything sensible, let alone impressive or awe-inspiring, as one might expect from the repulsive poster boy of the vaunted New World Order.
Carlson compares Schwab with Victoria Nuland (a ‘sad, fat dumb girl’), whom he finds equally unimpressive and mediocre. This has led him to the alarming conclusion that the people who are in positions of decision-making and influence don’t really know what they are doing (including Antony Blinken) – and yet, the consequences of their decisions and actions affect all of us, mostly detrimentally, of course.
The punch line in the redacted video, comes when Clayton Morris, one of the presenters, sums Carlson’s insights up with the remark, that ‘…’he has admitted that these guys are idiots who love to destroy the things that they don’t build; they like to tear down the things they don’t build…’
Perhaps Carlson’s most profound psychological insight comes in that part of his interview played by the Morris duo, where he perspicaciously observes that the reason why Schwab and his like-minded mediocre ilk tear down things that other people built – from beautiful railway stations to the legal code to Harvard University – is because they are ‘envious.’
He compares them to the barbarians who sacked Rome (in the 5th century BCE), because they were envious of something that they could not have built themselves.
Which means that they were really just vandals, just like the people who write graffiti on beautiful buildings. Carlson also remarks that this motive (envy) is the ‘oldest in the world.’

Blinkin just noticed? Far more civilians have displaced in the south. Total is in the 130,000 to 150,000 range. The objective being, through missile attacks to make more and more of Israel uninhabitable. Related threads
A kilometer-long tunnel and a mosque full of firecrackers were destroyed in the Gaza Strip. Clip.
Then it is incumbent on Bibi to whack Hezbollah, no matter who’s skirts they’re hiding behind.
Thank nuland and bilken for the war in ukraine as well.
Just like the houthis, the only way to rid yourself of them is to rid yourself of them and hold the ground they stood upon.
A very long time ago Israel was told to kill every man, woman, child and all the livestock in the promised land. They didn't, they still don't and they still have to deal with them. Over and over and over again.
“They should invade Lebanon again”
The last time was an unmitigated disaster. As one Israeli put it, “You’d roll past a bunch of civilians including women and children. As soon as you passed, they’d whip out RPG’s and hit us from behind.” So, the only way Israel could invade is to go full Russian and start committing war crimes, as in wiping out all the infrastructure to create a place people will flee from. Anyone left is a fighter and can be killed. I’m certain lots of people who are as tired of the whole middle east thing as I am, would say, do it. It would result in Israel coming under the same sanctions as Russia which would destroy Israel. Also, a large portion of the Israeli public is so peacenik they think they can lay on their backs, expose their bellies and the bad guys will just leave them alone. (I know that sounds ridiculous, but I’ve personally met these people. They live in an alternate reality. Oh, and they’re Democrats, which is a good reason not to allow dual citizenship voting. They live there and vote Democrat here.)

They do not care; they are all want to be martyrs - the more dead the better.
Both sides have been exchanging fire across the border. I just wonder if it escalates quickly and with little notice, or if they will come to some kind of truce after the Gaza operation winds down. Israel will have to mobilize if they plan to push up to the Litani river but will likely soften the ground with massive bombardment. In return Hezbullah will unleash thousands of rockets. It is not a good scenario for either side but just deferring the inevitable isn’t a good option. Something has to break on the diplomatic front; perhaps from the Lebanese people themselves begging Hezbullah to stand down.
