A president cannot pardon state crimes. That said, they twisted a statute of limitations expired state records misdemeanor violation into 34 felony federal elections felonies.
In this case, you might very well be correct.
Regardless, even if Merchan the loathsome should make an attempt at jailing Trump, it would be immediately stayed.

None of this is legal, yet here it is.
The problem is that people who are trying to help are following steps indicated in the law. But the other side has no intention of being involved in law. How can we possibly win in that situation? It’s a futile game.
SCOTUS won’t do crap. They are as corrupt as the fascist except Thomas and Alito.
I don’t know the legalities, but there is precedent in NY State and a recent USSC ruling. In NYS they reversed Harvey Weinstein’s conviction because the prosecution relied on salacious testimony that was not relevant to the alleged crime. In the Supreme Court, they recently ruled that the jury must be unanimous on the specific crime. Merchan’s jury instructions specifically stated they could be split 4-4-4 on one of three allegedly different crimes and still be unanimous.
Both causes, and probably a lot more (such as not allowing him defense witnesses such as the FEC chair who would have said that ‘hush money’ is not a crime), are reason for emergency appeal in New York, and in a Federal Court.
No surprise there. Commies gonna commie.
Bannon is toast. The USSC refused his appeal so he will have to report. For Trump there should be many avenues of appeal available to him.

Both Colorado and Fla involved ballot and voting issues. This involves a ludicrous failure to report a legal expenditure of a myriad of state business forms. scotus involves itself in issues where fedral law is in question, state law conflicts with federal law, and the denial or limitation of civil rights or liberties by state law. The only avenue I see here is to file a claim under Art I Sec 9 clause 3 and the 14th Amendment claiming bill of attainder.

They were about a month apart. They probably kept Cohen from bouncing a check.
Probably in Merchan's mind, Trump would have lost if not for the NDA to Stormy Daniels, so he deserves prison for stealing the election, even if he can't state that directly.
I'm hoping for no jail time (unlikely), or Trump can remain free while the case is being appealed, or that if Merchan does order prison immediately, the Supreme Court will get involved immediately. But at this point it is hard to guess what will happen.
The Democrats and the media live in a bubble where everyone agrees with them, so they have no idea of how the public in general would react to Merchan ordering Trump to prison on such B.S. grounds.
After the recent Supreme Court rulings, plus Biden’s debate fiasco, the left is fit to be tied. Deciding how to give the finger to the Supreme Court and any other “uncooperative” justices. Lots of pressure on Merchan to “do something.”
He can’t pardon state crimes. That said, this is mere rumor. He could well receive a multi-year suspended sentence and bail on appeal
It was not only payment for that debt. It was a consolidated payment for legal services and Cohen was providing legal services at the time.
Trump will end up appointing a special counsel to investigate Merchan, Bragg and their ilk (Fani Willis?) for malicious persecution of current and former federal officials. Jack Smith will also get fired.
