Ukraine’s security service said on Monday that it had foiled yet another Russian plot to stir public unrest and then use the ensuing turmoil to topple the government, outlining a familiar tactic that Kyiv claims has been employed in string of coup attempts in recent years.

The Ukrainian domestic intelligence agency, the S.B.U., said that it had discovered a “group” of conspirators it accused of planning to spark a riot, seize the Parliament building and replace the nation’s military and civilian leadership. Four people have been arrested and charged, according to the authorities.

While offering little detail on how such an ambitious plan could have succeeded

“ Ukraine says”….yeah, right…..as for toppling their government, did he forget what the US ( Nuland, McCain, etc..) did to change Ukie government in 2014?

Fact is, we now know “ saving Ukraine “ will have to be through negotiations, not on the battlefield.

I think the Ukrainians themselves have more than enough reason to want tiny Z-man dead.

So, when the govt is toppled from within, they can blame Russia and keep a civil war going on for years? With western arms?

When President Trump gets the US government out of the way of oil production, Russia will not be able to afford the war. Wars is expensive.

Get used to the fact Russia’s 12 time zones hold everything the world needs, metals, uranium, commodities , food, inert gas, gold, etc….energy is only a slice of their pie.

To think otherwise is delusional, they are self sufficient. The world needs and wants Trade, not war.

Yes. Russia is largely self-sufficient. It’s only their suppressed populace and corrupt govt/business environment that keeps them from rivalling the West in prosperity.

"What government?"

LOL!! That was my first thought when I saw the headline. Zelensky has stayed well beyond his use-by day. He's illegitimate, just like his pal Sleepy Joe.

Go deeper. Do beware they are fiscally responsible. Their debt to GDP is only 17 percent. Ours $34 trillion.( 125 percent).

Their consumer debt one of the lowest to. They do things the old way- save up for houses, cars, etc ( I know- I worked there for a long time), not much is purchased with credit, mainly because they maintain high borrowing rates. The US’s perceived wealth is because we have much-but most all was acquired through borrowing- DEBT, car/ boat payments, mortgages, student loans, etc..

For these reasons, Russians are in many respects “ richer” than US citizens. Currency failures/ devaluations, banking failures, etc affect them little as most “ own” what they have. The last decade of US “ free money” and credit expansion has unknowingly put a nail in our own coffin IF stagflation or recession hits us.

——-
They “bloomed”, the modern Russian Federation is not the old Soviet Union. Discarding communism for capitalism. I find it ironic now how the US embraces socialism. The pendulum has swung.

The US is mired in social welfare programs, one reason for our $34 Trillion in debt. Funny how things have changed.
