The Center Square) – More than 87,000 people moved out of Illinois taking with them nearly $10 billion in income, according to the latest Internal Revenue Service data. For the last six years, the total lost adjusted gross income is more than $47.5 billion.

For nearly a decade, annual population estimates from the U.S. Census show Illinois losing population. For well over a year, Gov. J.B. Pritzker has denied the state’s population decline, saying the Census is getting it wrong. In May, he doubled down.

“You should take what I’m saying as truth that actually when we count people, it turns out we’re gaining,” Pritzker said.

You sorta sound like you’re being glib, as if of course that’s not what Pritzker really means, but you’re exact correct.

The late Illinois Senator Everett Dirksen warned everyone about the consequences of the 1964 USSC decision case Reynolds v. Sims. He’s been proved right in his home state and all other states where large urban centers dominate.
He Was so concerned about its long-term effects that he tried to get a Convention of States convened.

Even California used to be a conservative state before it was invaded by mostly east coast filth.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker has denied the state’s population decline

And there is Pritzker's Democrat presidential qualification; the ability to lie and keep lying.

Illinois, California and New York are stalwart, all-blue strongholds.

They will run deficits and govern very badly, until the next recession/crisis.

then Fed.gov will create some “stimulus” program to top-up their pensions, save their budgets, and clear their debt.

Fed.gov will ALWAYS bail them out. It should be obvious by now.

Somehow the math fails to add up? I seriously doubt 87,000 people leaving paid $114,990 in state taxes?

A lot stay because they’re either city, county or Federal employees promised exorbitant pensions, which over time, will erode (primarily city/county) as the real productive citizens, who pay the taxes to support this parasitic machine, flee. Detroit, here they come.

Each illegal gets $1000 debit card every month.
That will bring in lot of $$$ to Illinois.

“You should take what I'm saying as truth...' Pritzker said."

Especially after last week seeing how "truthful" the d/s/c has been about Jopedo.

I just can't understand why people wouldn't believe everything the lying, trash pedophile s/d/c says.

That’s not what the article stated..... “the total lost adjusted gross income” not what paid in taxes.

Pay attention bro.

MOST people spend their paychecks within 20 miles of where they live.

ALL that INCOME-— spent to have your daily life——adds up.

Sales taxes on items produced there, etc.

The 100,000 illegals all need state services, but the democRATs think they can make it up in volume.

10 Billion dollars lost by 87,000 people moving out equates to an average income of $115,000.00 per year.

That means that there is a huge exodus of talented, high income wage earners leaving the state.

Wonder why?

Still that's about twice the average wages of the average individual. Now maybe it's all the extremely wealthy people that piss away their whole income that are leaving?

Nope.
