Team Biden Threatens to Keep Cash if He’s Replaced
Front Page Mag ^ | 6/30/24 | Daniel Greenfield

The bedwetting brigade is calling for Joe Biden to “drop out.” That is the best possible way for Donald Trump to win and us to lose.

First of all: Joe Biden is going to be the Democratic nominee, period. End of story. Voters voted. He won overwhelmingly. And if he were to drop out, it would lead to weeks of chaos, internal foodfighting, and a bunch of candidates who limp into a brutal floor fight at the convention, all while Donald Trump has time to speak to American voters uncontested. All of that would be in service of a nominee who would go into a general election in the weakest possible position with zero dollars in their bank account. You want a highway to losing? It’s that.

They say Jill is trying to negotiate a golden parachute deal in order for her to tell Joe he has to quit.

The money is very important when the candidate can only win through systemic voter fraud. Just think of all that money going to settle dog bite claims against Biden.

As I understand fed campaign finance laws, this is a given. NO ONE else can use funds for “Biden for President’ or whatever the hell he calls his campaign.

Now, PAC money is totally different. Anyone can access that except it cannot name a candidate, only attack.

Well, apparently this [election funds] is another aspect that is clear as mud, and probably would have to be sorted out in court if it came to that. And another plus for Biden hanging on.

The rest have no name recognition, etc.

You forgot John Forbes Kerry. He is 80, but he has been quiet since the debate.

[oh boy, this is a mess]

It’s a given, not a mess. A coup against Biden by Democrat elites is being met with the same hostility that a coup against Trump by GOP elites would be. Biden won the primaries fair and square. There’s no backing out.

Remember how Trump sabotaged the Georgia Senate run-offs after Republicans refused to put him in office for a 2nd term after he lost? Same idea. Except Biden did win the primaries. Biden would shaft the Democrats six ways from Sunday if they worked a finagle to force him out. The sense of grievance would be palpable, and justifiably so.

Voters voted. He won overwhelmingly.

This is a pathetically weak argument. He ‘won’ against no serious opposition. I think they hold similar elections in North Korea. No, people who voted for Biden were just demonstrating their party loyalty and a desire to show they’re totally against Trump, not that they thought Biden really is the man for our times.
