I do! I have already said in these pages that, correctly applied, this may well be one of the most significant legal events of my life. While it cuts both ways, seldom if ever has administrative law been applied with conservative ideals or the need for less government in mind. Let the lawfare to reduce regulation and government begin!

I was ignorant of that case before the court and certainly hadn’t read of the looming decision. Very good news, hopefully bookended with Monday’s looming announcement.

I think Fauci LOVED the Chevron Rule.
This case could have a serious impact on the IRS. There is no law that requires individuals who exchange their labor for money. It’s not a profit; it is an exchange of one thing for another thing.
There is a $250,000+ award for anyone who can prove the income tax applies to most individuals. Good luck with that. If you know the law and the IRS knows you know the law, they will leave you alone. The IRS has lost some cases over this issue and would prefer to not lose more. Just make sure you follow the law, and don’t ever file a false tax return.
I got a couple of letters 20+ years ago. Ignored the first and then called the IRS after the second one. Had a relatively pleasant conversation with what seemed to be a pleasant young man. I explained all this stuff and told him to contact me when he could cite a statute. That’s the last I’ve heard from the IRS.
The IRS would rather leave a guy alone than risk a loss to a guy who knows the law. Not saying people have not been convicted for income tax related crimes, but you damn well better know the law.
