Former President Donald Trump did not announce his running mate Thursday night as he’d teased. But he did give an on-stage shoutout to one of the top contenders: U.S. Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina.

I suspect it is a tease by Trump, not that Scott isn’t being considered.
But now Trump is much more in control due to the crushing hurt put on Biden. Perhaps he will play his VP choice more mainstream. Or it may give him more leeway to select a more radical MAGA choice.
Also, IMHO, the debate outcome from last night gives Trump more time to select a VP to see more comprehensibly who the choice will be.

I'm in agreement with you that I don't want Scott. But the Dims are too smart to put in Kamala as the prez candidate. That would destroy what they have left of the black male vote.
