I believe there were 5 missiles, 4 of which were successfully intercepted, the 5th damaged, and debris rained down on civilians which had not been the intended target. I could be wrong....

a. You dont need troops to deal with the border. All you need is for a decent President to tell your border guards to do their jobs as they were doing them in 2020. You are speaking out of frustration, not analytically.

b. President Eisenhower was dealing with a vastly larger proportion of military spending as a burden on the economy. The current expenditures are about 1/3 of what they were in his day (as a %GDP). The US has long since beaten most of its swords into ploughshares. I should know, I was one of those under the hammer!

c. The “globalist agenda” used to be the right and proper maintenance of the Pax Americana. Which I think you will miss if you manage to make it go away.

You Russians going to be passing off screen shots of War Thunder as the real thing again?

“All you need is for a decent President to tell your border guards to do their jobs as they were doing them in 2020.”

No, the US needs to denounce (official exit the refugee convention).

Quotes:

Article 31. - Refugees unlawfully in the country of refuge

1. The Contracting States shall not impose penalties, on account of their illegal entry or presence, on refugees who, coming directly from a territory where their life or freedom was threatened in the sense of article 1, enter or are present in their territory without authorization, provided they present themselves without delay to the authorities and show good cause for their illegal entry or presence.
2. The Contracting States shall not apply to the movements of such refugees restrictions other than those which are necessary and such restrictions shall only be applied until their status in the country is regularized or they obtain admission into another country. The Contracting States shall allow such refugees a reasonable period and all the necessary facilities to obtain admission into another country.

Article 32. - Expulsion

1. The Contracting States shall not expel a refugee lawfully in their territory save on grounds of national security or public order.
2. The expulsion of such a refugee shall be only in pursuance of a decision reached in accordance with due process of law. Except where compelling reasons of national security otherwise require, the refugee shall be allowed to submit evidence to clear himself, and to appeal to and be represented for the purpose before competent authority or a person or persons specially designated by the competent authority.
3. The Contracting States shall allow such a refugee a reasonable period within which to seek legal admission into another country. The Contracting States reserve the right to apply during that period such internal measures as they may deem necessary.

Article 34 - Naturalization [and getting the right to vote (and buy AR-15s)]

The Contracting States shall as far as possible facilitate the assimilation and naturalization of refugees. They shall in particular make every effort to expedite naturalization proceedings and to reduce as far as possible the charges and costs of such proceedings.

The Refugee Convention by permitting illegal entry (and entry upon any request) makes it impossible to secure the border. We need to get out from under the Refugee Convention.

I am retired.
What does it matter to you where? I’d annoy you just as much from Orlando FL or Hilo Hawaii. Spain is cheaper and much nicer.

What I have done does matter. I helped make a LOT of rockets and missiles. Not Patriot, at the time, but there you go. I’ve been in quite a few relevant factory floors during Reagans defense buildup.

The whole world will miss it and that’s exactly why they are bringing down the United States. With a strong and sovereign USA, they cannot implement their New World Order.

In Trumps day he got the border crossing problem down to smoldering embers. For a couple of years IIRC it was even net negative, more people leaving than entering.

Which really was quite an achievement.

Sure, it bothers me where you are. Like I said you’re hiding out, warmongering from your safe space. It’s easy for you to push for war with Russia. There’s no cost or risk for you.

The Pax Americana involves maintaining large military forces globally, and actively keeping the peace.

The U.S. is ultimately responsible for killing civilians at leisure? It’s as if Obama were president.

Hiding out?

Cost and risk on this sort of thing is global, and in any case my assets are mainly in the US. As are our children. I bet I stand to lose much more than you do, all things considered, simply because I figure I have more to lose.

Me, I’m an old man, what happens to me, personally, is of no consequence.

Apart from the drone, the precipitating event was the Ukes launching $6 million of American tax $$$ to get 4 shoot-downs, and a bunch of injured sunbathers. I’d like to think that the US wouldn’t target those folks, and I have a hard time believing that the Ukes, wanting continued support from the US, would deliberately target them, either.

It doesn’t seem like the act of people that want to continue pumping US taxpayer $$$$ into an endless war.
