Two letter response coming from DOJ — FU

Why should they care? DOJ is untouchable.

The Department of Just Us will have to provide justification for why some are imprisoned — and others are not — for the same thing. An obvious case of selective prosecution.

I think Bannons case is a little different, not sure, in that he was advised by his counsel to ignore the supeona. He was following his attorneys legal advice.

Peter Navarro is pretty hard core and he didn't really push as hard to stay out of jail as Bannon has.

Mark my words, a lot of people are going to regret putting Navarro in jail even if Trump is not elected.

If Trump is elected Navarro is going to have a field day.

Letting a guy like Navarro have an insiders view of the DC corrupt “justice “ system and it's jails is a going to prove to be a huge mistake.

This would have to retroactively effect Navarro’s case too wouldn’t it? That is, if the sentence is overturned.

Peter Navarro is a DEMOCRAT.....who happens to love Trump......but I haven’t heard him say he’s a Republican Conservative.

“The House must file an amicus brief in support of June 26.”

Now the House is in control of the GOP, why don’t they say they are trying to correct the illegality of the Jan 6th committee.

I didn’t know SCOTUS could dictate to DOJ — the separate branches of government and all.

Whatever ... my head is spinning with all that’s going on now.

Government officials should be required to comply with legislative subpoenas, but a private citizen should not be required to do so. A private citizen who declines to show up should be construed to be a refusal to show up as asserting a 5th Amendment right to not testify.

I think that Navarro or Bannon would probably be great choices for Attorney General. Both have a lot of experience with our “justice system” I don’t think that either will pull a Session or Bill Barr either. In fact, Trump might need those pointy choke collars for each of them. Not that the collars should be used.

The House has a resolution pending vacating the subpoena underlying the contempt case. In these circumstances, it would be absurd for the House to join the DOJ’s opposition to the Stay. I’d expect Johnson to join Bannon in support instead.

Garland will laugh.

True, but DOJ is trying to take Bannon off the from his free press operation. Navarro also prboably lacked the high powered law firm.

Both men were top advisors to President and certainly are covered under executive privilege but Joe Biden has saw fit to “waive” for them as if all of Trump’s privileges are null and void ab initio.
