Going back through old pics, there are a LOT of moon shots. I must have a thing for it. LOL
They’re getting ready to have a shindig at the Aviation Museum at Lake Hood. I hope the band’s better than the last time they had one. That band was pretty lame.

I don’t have that so I reckon that’s why I hadn’t heard the song before. Guess I should look it up on YT and listen to the whole album to hear what else I missed. :-)

House of Worship
Set up the tabernacle according to the plan shown you on the mountain.
Exodus 26:30When Britain’s House of Commons was bombed in World War II, Prime Minister Winston Churchill told Parliament they must rebuild it according to its original design. It must be small, so debates would remain face-to-face. It must be oblong rather than semicircular, allowing politicians to “move around the center.” This preserved Britain’s party system, where Left and Right faced each other across the room, requiring careful thought before switching sides. Churchill concluded, “We shape our buildings and afterwards our buildings shape us.”
God seems to agree. Seven chapters in Exodus (chs. 25-31) give instructions on building the tabernacle, and six more (chs. 35-40) describe how Israel did it. God cared about their worship. When the people entered the courtyard, the gleaming gold and the tabernacle’s colorful curtains (26:1, 31-37) dazzled them. The altar of burnt offering (27:1-8) and water basin (30:17-21) reminded them of the cost of their forgiveness. The tabernacle contained a lampstand (25:31-40), bread table (25:23-30), altar of incense (30:1-6), and ark of the covenant (25:10-22). Each item held great significance.
God doesn’t give us detailed instructions for our worship space as He did with Israel, yet our worship is no less vital. Our very being is to be a tabernacle set apart for Him to dwell in. May everything we do remind us of who He is and what He does.
Reflect & Pray
What does your worship teach you about God and His love for you? What changes might you want to make?
Father, You’re worthy of my best worship.

Well, they’re playing good 70s tunes, so it isn’t all bad. What kind of shindig is it?

They were playing recorded music when you checked it out, based on the time you posted. The band just started playing a couple of minutes ago. They sound pretty good.
A cam op hopped on and she zoomed in on the signs in front of the stage. It’s a 50th high school reunion.
She also panned to the north and there’s rain headed that way. It’s going to be a close call on hitting or missing the airports. I hope it misses because I like this band.

A very pleasant good Saturday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks to the Canteen DJ's for posting the music to today's thread.

Ash and family just stopped by to say goodbye. They head back to Texas in the morning.
Yesterday they went to the zoo, and stopped over to visit for a few hours last evening. Tim did several projects for me that I can't do anymore, sadly.
The 7 younger clan came and the kids got to feed them. They were so excited that they were so close. A lot of walking and standing and I'm paying for it today, in spades...Ibuprofen and Salonpas patches and my knees are still not happy. But it was worth it.
Today they went to the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center and got to see lots of animals up close, and a days old baby musk ox.
