Washington: Former President Donald Trump said in an interview with the All-In podcast that the possibility of NATO expanding to Russia’s border has always been understood to be off the table and such rhetoric now is provocative.
“They don’t want to have it, it’s always been understood, and that’s even before Putin,” Trump said in the podcast that aired on Thursday. “It’s always been understood that was a no-no… that was very provocative, and now it’s even more provocative.”
Trump said that it’s understandable that Russia would be bothered by NATO troops on its border, adding that NATO’s eastward expansion is a key reason for the conflict and that President Biden’s rhetoric about envisioning Ukraine eventually joining NATO is even more provocative.
“Biden was saying all of the wrong things and one of the wrong things he was saying: ‘Ukraine will go into NATO,’…Biden, he was saying the opposite of what in my opinion you had to say…and he’s still saying it,” Trump said.
In addition, Trump vowed to not put US troops on the ground in Ukraine if he returns to the White House.
Ukraine will reuinte with Poland and maybe the Baltics in a miniNATO focues on containing Russian expansionism. I predict it will become nuclear to counter Russian nuclear threats.
We don’t have to listen to him as we know he’s right. It’s the left that’s too busy calling him Hitler and in collusion with guess who? We need to point out no wars under him and the Abraham accords which the MSM wouldn’t.
Of course Ukraine joining NATO is provacative! What would we do if mexico was signing an alliance pact with Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea? Im sure most here would have no problem with that!
Trump essentially thru the CIA and Biden and NATO under the bus. Trump is correct. A 3 year old could have predicted that poking the bear would cause a fight. Arrogance in the West believing they could destroy Russia using Ukraine was folly.
Who is gonna rebuild Ukraine tho? Poland? 🤣
Donald Trump, injecting Zeepers with a MAGA dose of Peace & Prosperity.
Biden is still reaping 10 percent for every KIA. Empires die when leaders greed destroy the people.
I wish the Russian military was guarding our borders, since our military is too busy pushing DEI, picking pro-nouns, applying nail polish, make-up, and fake eyelashes, while filling out applications for sex changes.
I predict that the majority Russian areas of the Ukraine will continue to be a permanent part of Russia.
This part of the world is not Europe, we don’t have those countries and their ways and wars over here.
I already lived through this crap in the 50's and 60's. The US government wanted you shaking in your boots. Pardon me, if I pass on this re-run.
I hope Trump goes after the MSM in the debate coming up. He can dismiss Biden’s in the slightest manner expressing empathy for things like Hunter’s drug problem. Inflation-blame governments while talking the price of a Big Mac meal-blame Biden for that. Gas will be difficult to bring up-global warming. Say it anyway to bring prices down. Other issues Trump can disarm his opponent(s) with? He’s got the charm. You tell me.
Napoleon and Hitler were arrogant enough to think they could conquer Russia. They found out the hard way. The U.S. should take heed. This country would never be able to fight a total, prolonged war against Russia. The United States from WWII doesn't exist anymore, nor does the military that liberated Europe.
It was the Canadian infantry that broke the backs. Either way, we were played by the same few controlling both sides. World wars were tragic when you look at the bigger picture.
Hmmm, Norway, Finland, Latvia, Estonia…..seems like we’re already there. Others if you count Belarus as Russian…..
Beginning to put flesh on the bones of the old 2016 claims that he’s Putin’s stooge. Not a good look.
Well Putrid’s 3 day war now going on 3 years after invading Ukraine with half a million troops has validated Europe’s fear of Russia with Finland and Sweden joining Nato.
Putrid is a master strategist.
Not really Putin did nothing while Trump was President and most people don’t want US troops in Ukraine. To call him Putin’s puppet would defy logic as he’s the only President in 20 years who Putin didn’t invade a country under. Despite what John Bolton magically thinks.
