How fear of ‘escalation’ has Biden admin handcuffing Ukraine against Russia

It seemed like a seismic shift in America’s handling of Ukraine’s resistance to Russia’s invasion: National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan announced the Biden administration was relaxing its restrictions on Kyiv’s use of weapons on Kremlin territory.

But critics say the change didn’t go nearly far enough — and rather than the US boldly confronting Vladimir Putin, this week’s declaration is another example of the Biden White House restraining Ukraine for fear of “escalating tensions.”

Sullivan said that Kyiv may now strike “anywhere that Russian forces are coming across the border from the Russian side to the Ukrainian side to try to take additional Ukrainian territory” — instead of only around the northeastern city of Kharkiv, about 18 miles from the Russian border.

“This is not about geography; it’s about common sense,” Sullivan told PBS Tuesday

US provides the weapons, money & training and decides what weapons can be used, on which territory, and against which targets.

But it’s not a proxy war. Don’t look up the definition of proxy.

I thought they wanted escalation.
Maybe they did, until the polls showed lack of public support. This being an election year, the Dems have to at least pretend to give a damn what the majority public want.

I looked it up and the first hits were 50yrs of Iran, Syria et al attacks via El Blowmyselfupabduls.

What was I supposed to find exactly?

Putin invades off of spiking energy prices in 2014 and 2022 and yet plenty of sympathizers abound?

Sullivan said that Kyiv may now strike “anywhere that Russian forces are coming across the border from the Russian side to the Ukrainian side...”

But that’s not a significant escalation?

So them striking in Russia previously was fake news?

I’d like to think that significant escalation is like comparing art to porn. We all know porn when we see it.

I think the USA is out of any extra weapons to give Ukraine.

We hear no more MSM blather about Javelins, HIMARS, ATACMS, Stormshadows, Bradleys, or Abrams.

Biden telling his puppets in Kiev to “fire at will” on Russia is rather well-timed joke, because Ukraine has nothing to fire with.

Romania and Poland are the launching points for the F16s. They are also the ports of entry for all US arms in Ukraine. It would not take much to shut down those import transit points.

The Stupid Biden Admin stated that they did not foretell what Russia would do in regards to N.Korea and Vietnam. Idiots too focused on what they wanted to do to see the consequences. The US never got past that 1991 “we won the cold war and we dictate to the world” attitude.

You might want to pay attention to the news and not porn.

What “fear of escalation”? In every case the DC warmongers say they won’t consider reckless escalations that might start WWIII. Then DC turns around and authorizes the escalation. F-16s, Abrams, ATACMS, etc., etc. Never fear, DC will get this over the nuclear threshold yet.

Table pounding and threats are how Russians “negotiate”. Putin committed to conflict with the West right after 2012, when he needed to distract his people from the egregious suppression of human rights and freedoms he put in place to protect himself, (from his fellow kleptocrats)..

Why do you suppose Russia didn’t take all of Georgia in 2008?
