Maryland Democratic Gov. Wes Moore tried to stamp out speculation Wednesday that he could take over for President Biden as the party’s presidential nominee if the incumbent is unable to continue his campaign.
“I am full-throated in my support of President Biden,” Moore told “Fox and Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade, who had said that “people are floating your name as a possible President Biden replacement should the wheels come off come the August convention.”

When politicians say that they are behind you, they may be preparing to throw you onto the railroad tracks.
They definitely want to.
They are constrained by the internal coalition politics of the Democrat Party.
The way this guy explains it (from a family of Democrat activists) dumping Biden and dumping Kamala, or just dumping Kamala would be seen as such a ‘diss and affront to Democrat core groups that vote turnout would plummet, and they lose anyway.

“I am full-throated in my support of President Biden,”
Sounds disgusting.
He stole that line from Kamala...
Like Obama Moore has done nothing for anyone but himself
No new poll taxes and swigging a beer at a football game sounds like a winning presidential campaign message. Good thing you caught that so we can be prepared.
What would Donald Trump use against Wes Moore which would, also, not be interpreted as Trump being mean, negative, and/or racist, against Wes Moore? This may seem easy for us, on FR, to answer, but to all of the low information voters out there, I don’t see how Donald Trump would come out as the winner. Anti-Trumpisms are way too high, nationwide, and Wes Moore comes across as being a very likable guy, never mind him coming across as being a very likable politician!
Full Throated
I’d put Beshear of Kentucky in the same category, with the added advantage of already having won in a red state.
That happened a few months, or even years ago. I'm enjoying this ride as much as possible.
