Nearly every time President Joe Biden appears in public these days, he fuels the chatter: Will aging Joe bow out of the 2024 race? Will he be forced to step aside?
In the latest incident, former president Barack Obama was seen on Saturday reaching for Biden's hand and seemingly guiding the 81-year-old Commander-in-Chief off the stage at a Los Angeles fundraiser.
And that came after Biden stood motionless and stared blankly for a full minute at a Juneteenth celebration at the White House on Monday, as others sang and danced around him. Eventually, Philonise Floyd, brother of the late George Floyd, noticed Biden's concerning pause and wrapped his arm around him to help.

They are at least a year too late. They may decide to punt it with Joe, and come back hard in 2028 when there’s no incumbent.
Democrats are not voting for Biden. The are voting democrat. The candidate is mostly irrelevant. They all know that the agenda will be pushed regardless of who is in office.

That’s why Jill made a big deal mentioning that Trump is the same age as Biden. They plan to replace Biden with someone younger, and once they do that, they will emphasize Trump’s age.
Part of the reason to go virtual is to ensure a more controlled process should the party decide to select a replacement candidate.
In that case, top Democratic leaders would quietly draft the substitute nominee in advance.
That person would not be Vice President Kamala Harris, according to sources, who observed that Harris has already had to fend off a push to replace her on the ticket.
It doesn't just become Kamala. Kamala only becomes the nominee if Biden dies, one blunt consultant said.
This will allow an AI version of Slo Joe which no one in the public could detect. Like the one he recorded with his original Nomination Acceptance Speech. I think Slo Joe may be given so much joy juice that he may stroke out. Not good.
I’m sure TPTB have several medical options to ensure FJB is off the ticket, including termination with extreme prejudice.
All kinds of carrots and sticks are available at their disposal at this point.

Roy Cooper, popular Democrat governor of NC is the perfect replacement for Joe. Successful two term governor of a southern state with 16 Electoral votes. The state went for Trump in 2016 and 2020 when Cooper was running for governor. Cooper received more votes than Trump in both NC elections.
NC, like Florida and Texas has a vibrant economy and is a high growth state. Arguably it has thrived while Cooper has been in the governor’s chair. Cooper is 67 years old and looks younger. He is sharp as a tack, an accomplished debater, energetic and has governed successfully with a hostile Republican legislature. He is attractive to female moderate voters who dislike Trump. He will be a formidable opponent for Trump in debates. Unlike Biden Cooper can talk about a track record of economic success. He can talk about working effectively with a GOP legislature. There is no hint of personal scandal with Cooper. Unlike Biden he loves public appearances and handles them with ease.
In 1976 the Dems ran Jimmy Carter, an unknown nationally governor from a southern state and defeated a Republican president. In 1992 they ran Bill Clinton, also an unknown southern governor for president and beat incumbent Republican president George H.W. Bush.
Without North Carolina’s 16 electoral votes, Trump’s Electoral College route to the White House is almost impossible. If NC goes for Cooper, Georgia and Virginia are almost certain to also go Democrat.
Cooper is the perfect stealth candidate to replace Biden. Lots of positives, few negatives. Can sold as moderate and bipartisan. At age 67 Cooper will put Trump in the position where Trump’s age is questioned.
They got my not quite so bad side...
