Russia did not want peace, only the capitulation of Ukraine. Jakub Kumoch, former Secretary of State of President Andrzej Duda, who accompanied the Ukrainian delegation to negotiations with Russia in Belarus and Turkey in the spring of 2022, told the newspaper The Polish Times. The Introduction
- That negotiations were a dead end. Moscow did not want a lasting peace - this is how Jakub Kumoch says about the backstage negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in the spring of 2022. Today he is the ambassador of the Republic of Poland to China, in 2022 he is the Secretary of State of President Andrzej Duda and was responsible for creating Polish policy towards Ukraine.
It was the Ukrainian authorities who asked the Polish side in the spring of 2022 to transport its delegation to Belarus, where meetings of Russian and Ukrainian negotiators were held.
The Polish diplomat is straightening the message from the Western media that at that time it was close to peace, only the Ukrainian side broke the negotiations. According to Kumocha, it was Moscow from the beginning that was not intended to bring peace, all she wanted was the capitulation of Ukraine.
Jakub Kumoch reveals to us in an interview for the first time some conversations, describes the situations, fragments of documents from that time, those that he can reveal.
What did this document look like?
Let us call it mildly: singularly. It was a draft with the comments of both sides. The document was clearly prepared before the Russian invasion and by the Russians. He provided, among other things, the recognition of the annexation of Crimea, the so-called independence of the eastern regions of Ukraine, the reduction of the size of the Ukrainian army, bilingualism, the ban on joining NATO, perpetual neutrality, etc. There were also purely demeaning elements, such as a commitment to denazification or the introduction of the Great Patriotic War, as the Russians call their contribution to World War II. Things that A State never imposes on State B. Meanwhile, Russia has brought in the entire list of laws that Ukraine is to change. It began with the Constitution.
Of course not, they are a small country. But on the obverse, Russia hasn't invaded them either, have they. But again, it was in 2008 when Putin stated that trying to make Ukraine or Georgia NATO nation states would be a red line for Russian national security.
Russia does not “face belligerence” - it created that belligerence by invading its neighbors starting in 2008.
Of course it did with the increasing push to expand NATO.
People want to claim that NATO is strictly a defensive entity.
Here are three events that belie that claim:
Operation Deliberate Force (1995): This air campaign targeted the Army of Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose presence posed a danger to United Nations Safe Areas. The operation helped bring about the Dayton Accords.
Operation Allied Force (1999): NATO carried out an aerial bombing campaign against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia during the Kosovo War. The air strikes lasted from March 24 to June 10, 1999, and aimed to force the withdrawal of the Yugoslav Army from Kosovo.
Operation Unified Protector (2011): This operation was a no-fly zone and air campaign in Libya, aimed at protecting civilians and enforcing a UN resolution. It was part of the international response to the Libyan Civil War.
What is the point of making either Ukraine or Georgia NATO nation states if you know that it will create friction with Russia?
Answer that question that I keep posing and you keep avoiding.
The USA didn't start this - you ignore what the Kremlin has done in Ukraine since the early 2000s
This did NOT "stem from NATO expansion" - that's Putin's lie --> it's like the bully complaining about the kids it bullied banding up together to prevent the bully from smoshing them individually.
I can back that up — in early 2021, Biden withdrew Americans from Ukraine.
Prior to 2014, there was no western military advisors in Ukraine.
The military situation in Ukraine, as seen by an ex-member of the Swiss strategic intelligence
It you read that you will learn the truth which differs from the propaganda about who started the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
This was the definition I gave for coup d'état:
A coup d’état is the sudden, violent overthrow of an existing government or leader by a small group, typically involving control of the armed forces, police, and other military elements. Unlike a revolution, which is usually achieved by large numbers of people working for basic social, economic, and political change, a coup is a change in power from the top that merely results in the abrupt replacement of leading government personnel.
Your statement: a coup is when a group of armed people (military or just a crowd of armed guys, domestic or foreign, or both) seizing government buildings to install their government or make existing government work at gunpoint
As for coup d'états carried out by the U.S. it is well know that they are executed under the cover of color-revolutions:
The first one was aptly named as the Orange Revolution (2004)
The Orange Revolution was a series of protests and political events that took place in Ukraine between November 2004 and January 2005. The protests were sparked by allegations of electoral fraud during the presidential election, which saw Viktor Yanukovych declared the winner. The protests eventually led to a re-run of the election, which was won by Viktor Yushchenko.
The second one was named as: The Euromaidan Revolution (2013-2014)
The Euromaidan Revolution was a wave of protests that began in November 2013, sparked by President Viktor Yanukovych’s decision to suspend the signing of the Association Agreement with the European Union. (Again, he was prepared to sign both trade agreements which was best for Ukraine, but when the EU got wind of his decision they told him they would rescind their trade agreement offer. He stated that he decided right there to sign only the Russian trade agreement as he felt like the bride arriving at the church and being told to sign a pre-nuptial agreement) The protests, led by opposition leaders such as Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Vitali Klitschko, eventually led to Yanukovych’s ousting and the installation of a new government.
This provided another opportunity to escalate this into a full-fledged coup d'état, and it was started by a small group of men that fired into the protesting crowd killing several protestors and wounding others. The blame was immediately placed upon police sent by President Viktor Yanukovych.
You really are a dishonest debater, or you are just so misinformed that you refuse anything that differs from the narrative you believe to be the truth.
You are supposedly an ed-pat who has chosen to retire in Poland for some reason.
Well, those of us still living in this country have seen how much our own government has turned against their own native born citizens with generational history of Americans bon here whose relatives have put their lives on the line for this nation in various wars are leaders have led us into.
Is your statement the back up? If so I reject your back up.
The following search result link proves that your statement is utter BS, as he was warning all Americans that the military would not responded if Russia invades, in Feb. 2022:
Search results page: in early 2021, Biden withdrew Americans from Ukraine
Just to give you every opportunity I even executed this search to see if perhaps you were talking about our Embassy in Ukraine:
Search results page: Did the U.S. close its Embassy in Ukraine in 2021
Thanks for proving that you just throw nonsense at the wall.
Victoria Nuland was there, handing out either cookies or sandwiches at the Euromaidan protests. Some report cookies, while she claims they were sandwiches:
Victoria Nuland: I did not bring cookies to Kiev, but sandwiches
Assistant US Secretary of State Victoria Nuland filed accusations of misinformation against the Russian media. According to her, in Kiev she distributed not cookies, but sandwiches, not only to the protesters, but also to the Berkut fighters.
The Berkut fighters are former special police force in the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine whose functions included public security and fighting organized crime. The force earned infamy for its regular involvement in crackdowns on civil protests.
Perhaps they had switched to protestors?
Perhaps you are unaware of the woman:
She served as Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs from 2013 to 2017 and the 18th U.S. ambassador to NATO from 2005 to 2008. Her hatred for Russia is well documented, Her husband is Robert Kagan who also has lots of political influence.
Nice rant Robert!
👍👍👍
Domo arigato. Let’s pray I am at least close. 🤣
I know I am right about this topic you responded to. 🙂👍
