Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that he stood by certifying the 2020 presidential election results of Joe Biden’s victory.
Partial transcript as follows:
JON KARL: OK. Senator, the day before that violent mob attacked the Capitol, you put out a statement explaining your decision to certify Joe Biden’s election victory.
Do you stand by that? You were not one of those that challenged the results. You voted to certify Biden’s election victory. Do you stand by that?
SCOTT: Certainly. I will stand by that decision and the next decision to certify the fact that Donald Trump will be the next president of the United States. November 5th, the day of reckoning, is coming. Early ballots go out in places like North Carolina starting in September.

Thank you for your reminders, sir.
Exactly my first thought.
President Trump, please do not pick a two bit politician for your VP this time around.
We need outsiders, and who are going to be very faithful to you.
These people on your list, save Doug Bergum and Ben Carson, suck wet dog fur.
Matt “PitBull” Whitaker from Iowa is Trump2.0. He introduced PDJT at a Trump rally I attended in Dec2023 and really fired up the crowd.
He played football for IA and at one point was Acting Attorney General after Jeff Sessions left. Although he would make an excellant VP, I would love to see him the US AG.
“Although he would make an excellant VP, I would love to see him the US AG.”
I like him, too — a LOT! But... When he was in Senate hearings for permanent AG, didn’t he voluntarily drop out because he couldn’t take the heat? (At least, that’s how I recall the situation.),
If that was too tough for him, I dunno...
seems dopey to me
Sorry, there needs to be LOT more sincerity before I think he is viable as a VP.
“The June 27th presidential debate will take place on CNN. Fool? Pathetic?”

I was referring to Tim Scott, not Trump. Jeeze.
