Former President Donald Trump hinted Thursday that he’s close to deciding who he will pick as his running mate for the 2024 presidential election.
“I have sort of a pretty good idea,” the presumptive GOP presidential nominee told Fox News reporter Aishah Hasnie after meeting with congressional Republicans on Capitol Hill, noting that his potential choice was “probably” in the room with him at some point during his Thursday meetings.
“Look, we have some really talented people,” he added. “I have a pretty good idea.”

There’s two or three on his list that might be alright but the list doesn’t thrill me. I think Trump may just surprise us and not pick from that list after all. But then again, that wouldn’t surprise me that much.
We’ll just have to wait and see.
As a social conservative, I would hope that it isn’t either Stefanik or Burghum.
It’s definitely an opportunity.

I’m sure she’d be great, but female candidates always bring out the haters (cf. Palin)... and lot of attention would be on her clothing, hair, weight, family choices, etc.... and that’s a distraction. Let’s just go with a boring white guy who neither really adds nor subtracts but lets Trump keep the spotlight.

I think that a pit bull social liberal is perhaps one of the worst possible choices--unless you aren't a conservative.
Trump appeared to post something on social media indicating an airplane is being bought for the VP candidate that will be called “Trump Force Two.”
If that’s true, could be Burgum.
If it has to be a female, I could take Tulsi Gabbard if she converts to Christianity. She changed her position on 2A.

If Trump was considering Kennedy, he might as well select Gabbard. I think it is going to be either Stephanik or Rubio, with Scott a third option.
