The amount of planet-warming carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere has hit a new record, as humanity struggles to rein in emissions of greenhouse gasses from burning fossil fuels.
The new record comes as tens of millions of people are grappling with extreme weather in the United States. Much of the western U.S. is experiencing the first major heat wave of the year, which is driving temperatures 20 to 30 degrees Fahrenheit hotter than what is normal for June. In the Southwest, temperatures are lingering well above 100 degrees.
Such extreme, prolonged heat is directly related to human-caused climate change, scientists say. All the extra carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere traps heat, and leads to more intense, frequent and persistent heat waves, and other extreme weather such as powerful hurricanes and heavy rain storms.

I'm old enough to remember NASA every now and then putting out charts like that. But that was before global warming became a political crusade in the 1990's.
Rebecca, I can’t cite the article specifically but in recent months an article published a letter signed by 1,500 experts on the subject you write on (i.e. Climate Change) that, in so many words, proclaimed CC to be a money grabbing (taxes) HOAX and thus complete bullshit more or less like the so called “Covid” HOAX that cost us Trillions depending on whose counting.
So, in the future, before you write on CC again, please comment on what these 1,500 experts assert or just STHU!
CO2 is a plant growth stimulator and more is good for the greening of da Erf.

Greenhouses spend good money on CO2 systems to triple CO2 levels to enhance plant growth. Look it up.
Im sorry but I live in tha Southwest and it has happened before.
Looking back at the 2 extra degrees of warmth last time CO2 levels were this high (Pliocene era, 3 million years ago)
