I've been asked to chime in, so I'm chiming. But you're not gonna like it. The state of discourse on FR is totally up to you. You know the guidelines and rules. I don't need to repeat them again and again and again. We are mostly adults here and mostly Christian conservatives. We all know how to behave in a mixed public setting. We don't need and don't want to be supervised.
Before you post that next profane post or personal attack just ask yourself, what would Jesus do.
Can't we all just get along?

The Lord has been good to me I started posting here in full character assassination mode decades ago I think I’m growing up getting better.
My quarterly support for FR will continue in line with the credit card billing cycles I’m up against.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

I try to avoid the Religion board and that has kept me out of trouble here the last few years, but I'd submit that many of our problems both in government and in our churches have come from a "get along, go along" mentality. I would suggest a better ask would be to not get along in a civil manner.
I still remember growing up and being asked "Would you say that in front of or to your grandmother or mom?"

Amen. Though I don’t believe in Jesus as anything but an extremely distant cousin of mine, my values also include being civil and generous to people. I, like everyone here, don’t fully live up to that standard, but it is a worthy goal for us all to strive.

FR is no different than it has ever been — sometimes stellar, sometimes vile. Complaining about the decline of civility here is mostly BS. Jim Robinson has kept things generally free and generally rollicking in a good way (with judicious occasional necessary interventions), and for that we're all grateful.
