Judge Aileen Cannon rips up court schedule in Mar-a-Lago case in ways that benefit Trump

Judge Aileen Cannon is again ripping up the court schedule in former President Donald Trump’s classified documents case – pushing some of the legal questions that have been before her for months even further down the road.

Cannon is planning on holding a sprawling hearing on Trump’s request to declare Jack Smith’s appointment as special counsel invalid, signaling she could be more willing than any other trial judge to veto the special prosecutor’s authority.

The planned hearing also adds a new, unusual twist in the federal criminal case against the former president: Cannon on Tuesday said that a variety of political partisans and constitutional scholars not otherwise involved with the case can join in the oral arguments later this month.

It’s an extraordinary elevation of arguments in a criminal case – filed a year ago this week – that likely won’t see trial until next year, if at all.

Wednesday, Cannon went further, adding a hearing on a gag order request from prosecutors to limit Trump’s rhetoric about law enforcement and allotting more time to hear arguments on the special counsel issue.

Cannon will hear arguments on those issues the week of June 21, as well as on the effort by Trump to throw out evidence in his case that was gathered by the FBI in its 2022 search of Mar-a-Lago or provided by his former attorney Evan Corcoran to a grand jury.

At the same time, she delayed other hearings without setting a new date.

The calendar shuffling is the latest example of Cannon’s approach so far to the national security case: scheduling hours in court for arguments that other courts have mostly denied, and pushing off resolution of various legal matters for months.

What a hysterical headline. Judge Cannon increased the time to hear evidence in the “Is Jack Smith Legally Entitled to Hold His Position and Authority” hearing. She postponed the following three days previously dedicated to hearing the next motion the defense brought. She will set dates after she sees how the first motion is progressing.

CNN would rather deny all the defendant’s constitutional rights to a proper and full defense so they can put President Trump on the express train to conviction and further persecution.

The ‘government’ waited 4 years to even think about his case. A delay of several months is nothing unless it upsets some kind of 2024 election narrative the government is trying to set up.

There are still a lot of questions about the raid that need to be answered before getting down to the case proper. We don’t start with a guilty verdict and work backwards from there in this country.

If Cannon allows any of the lawyers to talk about Smith's escapades while in the Hauge it will be over for him. Jack Smith is a major league criminal who blackmailed or tried to blackmail dozens of high end people while at the Hauge. It got so bad he has 151 pages of whistle blower complaints against him that should be in evidence somewhere.

New whistleblower filing alleges that Special Counsel Jack Smith, while working at the International Court of Justice,(at the Hauge in the Netherlands,) spent years running an overseas extortion ring targeting wealthy and high-profile public officials.

John Francis Moynihan, a former employee of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), submitted an expansive, 118-page complaint through his attorney to Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz, detailing numerous allegations of criminal activity allegedly committed by Smith prior to his appointment as the special prosecutor in two cases against former President Donald Trump.

The document is an official sworn statement provided to the DOJ under penalty of perjury.

Moynihan informs Horowitz that he has 35 years' experience investigating complex international money laundering cases, and continues to assist the DOJ and Treasury Department with ongoing cases, before outlining in the complaint a vast web of corruption overseen by Smith who allegedly abused the power of his office. Witnesses who provided sworn affidavits say that Smith ran “an alleged extortion ring set up within the Kosovo Specialist Chambers, a European Union initiative ratified by Kosovo’s parliament in 2016 to prosecute war crimes."

Smith is named as “an active participant in a scheme that extorted millions of dollars from wealthy individuals targeted for investigation and/or prosecution by the Kosovo Specialist Prosecutor's Office (SPO). Smith served as the Specialist Prosecutor from May 7, 2018, to November 18, 2022, at which time he was appointed by U.S. Attorney General Merrick B. Garland to serve as the Special Counsel” to investigate Trump.

(Rumors are that Smith was told by DNC/DOJ heavyweights that he was a major league criminal and he could go to jail or go after Trump.We see what he chose.)

Evidence provided to the Inspector General's Office includes recorded interviews and various written communications, including text messages.

Among the key players named in the affidavits accompanying the whistleblower complaint are:

David Harback, a DOJ prosecutor currently serving on Smith's team investigating Trump. Harbach worked for Smith from 2019 to November 2021.

1.Alan Tieger, former U.S. prosecutor and current SPO prosecutor.

2.Hillary Clinton, former U.S. Secretary of State and New York Senator.

3.David Schwendiman, former U.S. prosecutor who served as Chief Specialist Prosecutor at the SPO between September 2016 and March 2018.

4.Faik Imeri, who represented himself as working with Smith and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).(Is Smith an asset or undercover with the company?)

5.President Hashim Thaci, former Kosovo president indicted for war crimes by the SPO in 2020.

6.Charles Mcgonigal, former FBI Special Agent in charge of counterintelligence at the New York field office.(the only other demo/criminal who had employ with both cia and fbi was Peter Strzok,gotta wonder about Smith?)

7.Florim Alan, currently under indictment in Kosovo for breaking into computer systems.

Without Cannon’s ruling, the J6 trials cannot go forward. Once Smith is removed, J6 becomes a distant memory. This will probably result in overturning all J6 convictions.

Since NY will be overturned on appeal, and Georgia will get rid of Willis, it sets a clear path for Trump to get through the convention with the nomination.

As an afterthought, there is no way the June 27th debate will happen.

Three major torpedoes against Jack’s cases are in the water.

The first is Jack’s authority to prosecute. If she throws Jack out in FL, this will force Chutkan’s hand in DC.

The second is that Team Jack defiled the docs in evidence in Mar a Lago.

The third is the upcoming SCOTUS ruling on immunity, which will likely go partially in Trump’s favor.

Now Cannon is allowing amici voices in, including Ed Meese et al.

She will let the motions all mature, and then likely euthanize it before Christmas.

If Trump wins and we c0ntrol both Houses of Congress, Judge Aileen Cannon would bevery effective to head up a judicial review team of the administrative condict of weaponized
