Planet Earth hit 12 consecutive months where the global average temperature reached a record high, according to new data released on Wednesday.
In addition, last month was the hottest May on record, according to the European Union’s Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S).
The data from European climate scientists showed that it was also the 11th consecutive month during which the global average temperature reached or eclipsed 1.5 degrees Celsius.
The global average temperature in the last 12 months was 0.75 Celsius above the 1991–2020 average and 1.63 Celsius higher than the pre-industrial average.

Two data points from 2008:
In October, the IPCC announced the hottest September ever. This factoid became a part of Barack Obama’s stump speech, and he flogged it all the way to Election Day.
Then two days after the election, the IPCC announced that the September data for all of Russia had mistakenly been replaced with the temperatures from August. Whoopsie! Without the error, September was not the warmest ever, and was actually cooler than previous years.
Whoopsie!
Then in December, NASA announced that Arctic Ice had decreased dramatically, and was the least ever recorded by a wide margin. This factoid wound up being an important element in Obama’s Inaugural Address, and was a basis for his early climate policies. Then, two weeks after the election, NASA announced that the ice detectors on the satellite were mis-calibrated, and that there was no decrease in arctic ice after all. Whoopsie!
I guarantee the correction to this data will come out in mid-November. Whoopsie!

if such is such a thing was measurable (it’s not), it hasn’t changed (can’t have changed) since the earth, sun and solar system became positionally steady state. check God’s laws of physics. all of this they should and probably do know since they claim that the earth sun system became steady state billions of years ago.
any change in temperature integrated over time or 3-d space from a selection of measurements promoted by the ‘climate’ liars are just using local fluctuations and errors (mostly intentional and contrived like tree-rings) to fool the ignorant and further the devils’ power agenda. i think the science is unimpeachable.

Big deal, I personally like the heat and who’s to say it’s that bad for the earth? A bunch of govt funded alarmists that have BIG govt’s welfare at heart? where I live past 2 months were nothing but cold and rain every day with maybe 3 or 4 sunny days so these idiots are full of it

A few months ago the normal Michigan season for fruit trees such as cherry trees was abruptly shot down by abnormally COLD weather.

Erratic spring weather, especially when it brings severe cold snaps, has already proved disastrous for the crop.
In 2002 and 2012, freezing spring temperatures wiped out almost the entire tart cherry crop here.
The three temperature records I trust the most - all of them American - all show the same anomaly.
(1) UAH (University of Alabama at Huntsville) Global Satellite Temperature clearly shows the anomaly. The two climate scientists in charge of the UAH since 1979 have never been political and have been accused multiple times of being biased Conservatives.
(2) US Climate Reference Network is the most pristine and most accurate temperature gathering network in the world. It shows a large warming anomaly in the Lower 48 United States for the last 12 months.
(3) Temperature.Global - a computer program that has been collecting 50,000 to 70,000 global land station temps every hour for almost 10 years. Compared against a 30 year average, the global average temp declined, or was unchanged, for SEVEN straight years. Fourteen months ago, that changed. For the first eight months, there were modest increases in the anomaly. In the last six months, there have been significant increases in the temperature anomaly.
Bottom Line - there has been a valid increase in the global (and USA-48) temperature anomaly during the last year.
My own guess would be the Tonga undersea volcano explosion that injected billions of tons of water vapor (the most important Green House Gas) into the atmosphere.
Also, the Covid economic slow down, creating cleaner land mass air, which increases radiant sun shine onto planet Earth.
Also, cleaner ocean air, because of new ship fuel restrictions, which increases radiant sun shine on the ocean.
