Alvin Bragg's Office Accused of Leaking Trump's Potential Sentence — Likely to Recommend a Year Behind Bars for Trump at Rikers Island (VIDEO)

The office of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who is backed by Soros, is now under fire for allegedly leaking sensitive sentencing information about former President Donald Trump to the far-left media.

In the wake of a trial widely criticized as a sham, where Trump was convicted on all 34 felony charges in a ‘hush money’ scandal, sources suggest that DA Bragg’s office may recommend Trump serve a year at the notorious Rikers Island.

Judge Merchan told jurors they did not have to agree on a crime—a practice unheard of in US history. The jury only had to agree that something bad happened.

..... Snip.....

According to Hostin, this recommendation serves not just as punishment but as a stern message to society that such conduct will not be tolerated again.

“The other thing I’d like to say is the other reason that they will do this is because he has shown an utter disregard for our institutions. And prosecutors, when you are recommending a sentence, you are not just recommending a sentence so that they can be rehabilitated or so that they can be punished. You’re sending a message to the community that this is not going to happen again. This is not okay. ”

“The other thing I want to say is that there’s another thing that they will likely recommend is a six-month split, six months at Rikers, and then the rest, five years—four and a half years of probation that is under New York law,” Hostin said.

Do you think Trump should appeal? Or should he just not bother because of a lack of respect for the judicial system>

Do you think Trump should appeal?

Well of course. We all have to pretend the system functions, even when it is clearly broken.

I've read several articles claiming the Trial Judge did certain things to cut off various avenues of appeals, and also that the appeals courts in New York are going to be just as biased as the trial court.

I've seen it claimed that he has to exhaust the New York appeals process before he can begin the Federal appeals process, and i've also seen it written that he doesn't have to do this.

What I think is likely to happen is *NOTHING* until after it won't make any difference.

Or should he just not bother because of a lack of respect for the judicial system

There are some rational arguments out there for why it won't matter what he does, but I have to think he is an optimist.

But you didn't answer my question. Does this shake any of your respect for the legal system?

I must say it certainly doesn't shake mine, because I hold the entire thing in very low esteem anyways, and this sort of nonsensical crap is just about what I expect from biased dysfunctional courts.

“...spend THAT on getting out voters individually.”

And have trustworthy people go through the voter rolls in problem counties with a fine tooth comb.

Count on it.

Just as the Secret Service stood down when the FIB burglarized Mar-a-Lago, PDJT will be on his own when the assassin strikes him at Rikers.

Soros got his money’s worth even if - or because - the man he bought is trash. Guess that’s why Soros bought Bragg.

Let’s assume somebody who actually works in Bragg’s office really believes that Bragg, who initally declined to prosecute, will ask for such a sentence. Is Bragg stupid enough to do it? Did that person actually say he will recommend such a sentence, or something like, “I hope we recommend a year sentence?” I would not guarantee that Hostin’s opinion is based on truth or good judgment. I don’t know.

Alvin Bragg's Office Accused of Leaking Trump's Potential Sentence — Likely to Recommend a Year Behind Bars for Trump at Rikers Island (VIDEO)

Note this is the typical abortion of a Gateway Pundit headline.

Alvin Bragg did not leak Trump's potential sentence. The potential sentence would be four years on each count, probably running concurrently for four years total rather than 136 years. Plus possible fines.

Whatever Alvin Bragg might recommend, Merchan alone decides the sentence.

Everyone is welcome to their own guess as to what that may be. My belief is that regardless of what it is, Trump will be released pending appeal and will serve no time. The lawfare objective is to get a Democrat elected, not to get Trump elected. Conviction has already spiked the Trump donations. Imprisonment would make a martyr of Trump.

And if you are like me, you don’t have absolute faith in Hostin’s accuracy.

This is all true, but my point is how botched up is a system that can produce this sort of result.

Judges are Kings. They make laws from their throne whenever they choose to do so.

“The only safety valve on this mounting pressure is for SCOTUS to vacate the verdict.
But does Roberts have the cojones?”
Roberts had better have quadruple sized cojones….
Democrats have created a gigantic travesty of justice.

If they really try to put President Trump in jail, they might just get their wish. Decide carefully, you morons. It's not going to end the way you think it will....

If they think we'll just run and hide behind our TV sets, occasionally coming out to post some laughable threats about our 80 billion bullets, well so far they are right.

Why should they believe we're willing to fight them, when we couldn't even maintain a boycott against the NFL or GM?

And that's what really hurts. It doesn't have to come down to a shooting war. The left proved that by making their money count while we "lived and let live". The companies responded by pandering to them, and now good luck finding one that hasn't bought into the woke agenda.

We could fight back with our spending dollars, but we don't want to give up our entertainment or getting our communist made toys with same day delivery. So we just go on posting idle threats and then go back to our TVs and pretend we're the ones making those great plays during that ball game we're watching.

Not all of us, but far too many.

"Try that in a small town"? That's like the French telling Hitler to try that at the Maginot line. If we wait until they come after what's left of our small, red towns, it will be too late.

Yes it has been made plain many times that New York city residents really despise Trump. The only worse place for his trial might have been DC.

The dems know that SCOTUS is coming into play, there are no other options.
The very idea of jailing Trump would permanently alter and damage the US, domestically and overseas.
I think that’s why the dems are trying to force Justice Alito and Thomas from rendering opinions on anything to do with Trump. I think they know they will lose, not because they like DJT, but just on the merits of the case.

The entire Democrat Party should be disbanded and renamed, after Trump outs them for all the dirty and illegal tricks they’ve pulled in the last 60 plus years, but especially in the last eight years.

SCOTUS needs to take this up.

Sometimes the right move for the SCOTUS is to do nothing. This may be a political issue. Let the American people see for themselves what's going on.
