10,000 human remains found on serial killer’s farm — and authorities are still identifying victims (Indiana)

For years, a peaceful, million-dollar farm in Indiana hid a dark secret: It was a serial killer’s playground.

When cops finally raided Herb Baumeister’s 18-acre property in Westfield, north of Indianapolis, they uncovered some 10,000 pieces of human remains — mostly crushed and burned skeletal fragments of the teenage boys and young men whom he had abducted and murdered in the 1980s and ’90s.

Nearly 30 years after Baumeister killed himself while on the run from police, authorities are still sifting through the remains and identifying victims.

Baumeister dismembered and to varying degrees burned the remains of his victims and broke up and usually buried what was left about his property. However, as Baumeister accelerated his rate of murder and had family inconveniently roaming about the farm, he became less diligent about destroying and scattering what was left of his victims. That is why there are so many "remains" in the form of teeth and small fragments of bone.

Advances in technology now make it possible to identify more victims by extracting useful DNA from previously recovered bone and teeth. In spite of the expense of so much DNA testing, homicide detectives and crime labs regard such an effort as a matter of professionalism and dedication to murder victims and their families. In a world with so much evil on the loose, that is cause to take heart.

Agree, in the article it states that 12 people, I believe that was the number, have been identified as victims, and the 10,000 as you say may be parts of bones in which there may be many pieces of the same bone.

I keep telling people that f@ggots are dangerous, and are *WAY* overrepresented among serial killers, if not being an outright majority of serial killers.
